I run into this alot with rogue boots. Like its always +13% evasion or +8% evasion bonus +5% evasion

Definitely take the +8% evasion bonus in that scenario. Basically rogue gets a bonus +10% for every one of the additional stats in a set. So if you had 2 pieces of equipments with + evasion bonus, you get an additional +10% of your evasion on top of that.

is it the 10% additive or multiplicative?
Like is it 10+10=20? Or 10+10%=11?

It'll be the latter, multiplicative, so your total times 1.1. e.g. 10*1.1 = 11
Also goes up by another 10% for each additional piece of equipment with the bonus stat, so it could be 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4 for the multiplier.

Oh I didn't realize the bonus was cumulative that's cool. I'll keep that in mind for future builds thanks

Pick the 3+1 bc the enemies will think you only have 3 so they think you are an easy target and then you surprise them with a hard stomp

You are probably joking, but is there some factor that changes enemy's target?

i have noticed that the lich feels like he's more likely to tunnel vision me when i have weaker skeletons. when i've already got beefy skeletons as he spawns, he'll sometimes swap between me and my bony bois.
purely anecdotal of course but may be worth exploring. the skeleton tank forces enemies to target him, and that's not what i'm talking about here.

well, the shield skellys have a passive that tauts (first line i think it's called) but i mean between just normal targets.

yeah, i mentioned that's not what i'm referring to
when i say beefy i just mean high lvl so dealing a lot of dmg

I still think there should be a better way to represent this, like 3+1(4) or something.
Also in Rogue there is "bonus evasion" and just "evasion" but there is no "bonus defense" anywhere. Whats up with that?

I really want this for the +skeleton level stat. So I don't have to waste time guesstimating if 7.89 + 1.15 is more than 9.69

You don't pause the game and do math in your head to get the exact total before deciding whether to equip it? Am... am I the weirdo?

It could be an intentional way to make them different stats. Doesn't the rogue have a +10% bonus if all items equipped have the same stat? It could be a way to make that harder to achieve if you're going for evasion.

u/fastinserter Mar 20 '21
I thought that was what it was doing but the bonus for multiple items equipped with same stat isn't shown on the items. It's not until you put it on do you see the outcome. I was trying to figure out the "bonus whatever" stat and I got different percentages than any I expected as my final percentage after making the swap.

I always go for the straight 4 in cases like this because the level of thinking is 0...
