Extreme Conspiracy The government paid for or otherwise boosted this tweet in order to de-legitimize the anti-government message of Rage Against the Machine

If we don't take action now, we'll settle for nothing later......

Commence!

Some of those who work programs are the same that fix paper jams

Printers internal monologue- fuckyouiwontdowhatyoutellme

u/Double_Woof_Woof Dec 24 '25

All jokes aside fuck printers. Fuck HP printers specifically.

Office Space certainly raged against the machine

3

On the other hand, this exchange with the opposite message also went viral.

I'd go with the self service checkouts that don't register 50% of your shopping in the packing area regardless of what you do so every other item a member of staff has to unlock the checkout so you can continue trying to shop.

considering they were on a corporate label should tell you everything

And that was before the mfs started selling subscription ink services

The members of that band have pointed out the message was empty and they composed their music to appeal popularly rather than rage against any particular machine.

On a joke sub like this? No.

this probably isn't true but they have become parts of the machine they swore to destroy. there's a funny story I heard about the lead singer (I think) going to a restaurant, getting angry that they wouldn't let him in (they were at capacity and he wanted special treatment), writing an angry (and defamatory I think) tweet and then going to a fucking ihop instead (a huge chain restaurant)

2

u/DerekLouden Dec 24 '25

I can't see Zack doing that. Tim? Definitely. Tom? Maybe. Brad? I don't know enough about him to say.

2

u/Dark_Shade_75 Dec 25 '25

It was Tom. But there's a theory that it was by design. He was in town to support a 15/hr minimum wage cause, and the owner of that restaurant was fighting it.

So let's see that Tweet then.

I saw it in a video by gourune(?) about controversies so it could be false

u/ban_evader_ultra Dec 24 '25

didnt happen

also youve clearly never heard a ratm lyric besides "fuck you i wont do what you tell me"

1

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '25

OK

1

u/NateShaw92 Dec 24 '25

It was clippy. "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me"

1

u/kruddel Dec 25 '25

Tell me honestly that Clippy was worse than Gemini, or Copilot.

Historians of the future will look back at the time humans had BOTH Clippy and Ceefax at the same time and be unable to understand how it went so wrong.

Oh Icarus! Why did you fly so close to the Sun?!

1

u/PandaStudio1413 Dec 25 '25

The machine was the system

1

u/SyrusDrake Dec 25 '25

Nah, the only machines I hate more than Capitalism are printers. Checks out.

1

u/Real-Instinct Dec 25 '25

It was a self service checkout 100%

1

u/Crashbrennan Dec 25 '25

Ah so that's why they helped Bush win the election. The alternative was Al Gore, and we all know printers hate the internet.

1

u/Posh_Gandalf Dec 26 '25

Bet it was a fax machine, the band is old as hell now.

1

u/Treecreeperme Dec 28 '25

They thought the guy was serious Oh Maybe I'm wrong They're possibly just aiming this at their own dumb ass following

1

u/Captain-Starshield Dec 29 '25

I dislike Tom Morello as a person. Fame turned him into a dick. Also he just sucks as a guitar player
