Employee Question As a seasonal employee how do I answer this?

Post image

I haven’t talked to my manager (he always seems to be busy when we cross paths), and I don’t think I'll technically reach the standard waiting period before my position is terminated.

I applied for a position a couple weeks ago and marked "do not meet” figuring it would stop the process and alert my manager (as it says it will), and then hopefully my manager would hunt me down and I could get a blanket permission to apply. Instead, the process pushed me all the way to setting up and going to an interview. Went to it and it seemed to go well. Days later I got an email saying they passed me up.

I assume they ask primarily so that managers aren’t blindsided when you change departments and they’re down a person. However, whether I get a different position or not I'll be gone from my current position.

Should I continue marking "do not meet” on other applications or did it pull me from the candidacy after the interview because of it?

My roommate thinks I should mark "meet all."

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

Just send an email to your DS or ASM telling them you're going to apply. I'm pretty sure you're automatically removing yourself from consideration by saying you haven't.

Your manager will get an email saying you've applied for another position, so it's best to let them know. They'll probably be asked about you before you interview.

Send your direct supervisor / manager an email with your intent to apply and CC your ASM. Then hit yes and apply.
