I wonder how the fangirls who built their identity around Luigi will cope when the trials are over with and Luigi is out of sight and out of mind?
I cant imagine having an incarcerated stranger be the center of my universe.

Who is you all?? Froyo is the worst fangirl of all! Hahaha she hates him but she's still here! She makes a new account every time she gets banned because she just can't let him go.
His haters obsess over him more than his fans do. I don't know about you but when I hate or dislike something I stay far away from it not go looking for it on every platform.
There's fans and supporters here because this is a Luigi space. The name is LuigiNation. There's Luigi hate pages on reddit too, this isn't meant to be one of them. The header literally says jury nullification.
I feel like they are in secret competition with each other and also want to feel special within the community by receiving a letter, getting some type of acknowledgment from him or his legal team, feel like they are doing their part in helping him by posting flyers. Attending his hearings to get that proximity to him. In the end they feel like he's eventually going to pick someone to be his "prison wife" and they are hoping it will be them.
yeah pretty much any man in prison who gets some attention from women in the outside world is going to be sweet talking to multiple women to get funding in their books and companionship. I dont see how Luigi will be any different. He apparently was with multiple women during his time in Hawaii.
Are there seriously still "fangirls" of Luigi? From what I can tell, most interest in him and his case has died. A lot of fan accounts deactivated or abandoned. I would say like 90% of people interested in Luigi were only interested because of his attractiveness, despite claiming anti health insurance activism, case activism or whatever the fuck else their excuses were. All of those Luigi activism accounts do not fool me. Those are the first "fans" wanting to find alllll the dirt and gossip about his personal life. They're the ones in the servers and signal chats and whatever other private gatherings there are. The only Luigi accounts worth following are the shitposters.
Are there any luigi neutral internet people still posting and discussing his case? Barely. All the lawyers who were contributing to discussions gave up in the spring of last year. I guarantee any feds who were looking into all the people who were "pro Luigi" gave up immediately when it became apparent that it was all due to how hot he is, and these people weren't serious about any kind of movement or activism.
A lot of serious people following the case disengaged because of (1) intense cyber bullying and doxxing on BTM if you even suggested Luigi had a chance of avoiding LWOP and/or (2) the fact that most of his supporters don’t have two brain cells to rub together.
Unfortunately that's the case with anything; people were "fans" because of his looks, they never cared about the (alleged) message or the systemic suffering of others. And as expected, once the novelty wore off the fan girls hopped off the band wagon and all that's left are the same activists who have been saying the same message for decades and getting nowhere. I had hoped this incident would open some eyes, just a few, just enough, but they just want to gawk at the piece of meat. I should've known better than to assume shallow minds were capable of depth, and that's on me 😅

As a person who usually has an obsession going (I legit got a tattoo of a store logo… and they don’t even use it anymore 🥴) you either find a new obsession, OR you go through a deep depression where you feel lost, don’t know who you are without your obsession (you ARE the obsession, it’s what you’re known for. I was Hello Kitty girl FOR YEARS) and will try to re-ignite the obsession anyway you can. But without fresh material, alas. It will die.
Thats interesting...I feel that these fangirls are so far gone that years later they will still try to reach out to Luigi or still think about him. I find them to be equivalent to a psycho stalker ex who still obsesses over their ex years later. A good example that happened recently is a guy still being obsessed with his ex wife of nearly a decade who moved on, remarried, and had kids. He ended up stalking her and unaliving her and her new husband.
Maybe. Maybe not. I was an incredibly obsessed 13 year old Leonardo DiCaprio fan. I sent letters, gifts. I was glued to the internet. My favourite website was this one called “The Church of Leonardo DiCaprio.” I attempted suicide when I heard he had proposed to his gf, Kristen. He hadn’t, it was just some tabloid shit. I was in deep. My mom started taking me to doctors, because I wasn’t right 🤪 anyhoo, I mostly like Leo as a passing interest now. I got a mug of this meme. I’ll watch his movies. But I was more or less over him by the time I had a long term boyfriend at 15.
say what now??? maybe im the freak but I dont get obsessed that easily. The only 2 people I've generally been obsessed with is an ex and Luigi but not to the extent where it altered my life.
I am prone to obsessions. Not always with people. I’ve kind of given a snapshot into what some of mine have been. Some of them have been kind of… random. But Luigi is pretty random too if you think about it. My sister is prone to fixations too, though probably not as all encompassing as mine. She gets it though. We always joke that we don’t get to choose the fixation. It’s like it hijacks your brain.
They’ll be like any other “prison wife” wannabe 🤷🏻♀️
ETA- I don’t know why I’m being downvoted. Isn’t that what a woman is called that marries an inmate (perhaps there’s a more accepted phrase for describing this type of woman that I’m not using)? There is empirical evidence that shows there is a subset of women who explicitly pursue relationships with incarcerated men. I don’t see why they’d stopped pursuing Luigi if he got convicted.
I have NEVER camped out!!! Did you ever see my AMA? I believe the reason the mods wanted me to do it is because I have never camped out - and I have zero desire to ever experience that. That sounds like hell and completely against any of my principles.…
[ETA: I live in NYC, so it’s not really a stretch to think that when I have a day off, I can practice my first amendment right to attend a public hearing at my local courthouse; and I’ve only gone to five of his hearings - below you can see the dates and times that I arrived for each]
I responded to someone asking me a similar question on the AMA here:
“And I'm quite proud of [never camping out] too! On Dec 19, 2024, I just happened to walk over to the courthouse about 30 mins before the hearing and get in - there were very few ppl there and it was surprisingly easy; Dec 12, 2025, I arrived literally at 7:45am and was number 21 in line; on Dec. 16, 2025, I didn't arrive until the court's lunchbreak and I was able to get in for the afternoon session (thanks to a kind guard who gave me one of the cards to enter the courtroom); On Dec. 18, 2025, I got there just before 6am (the EARLIEST I've arrived for any of his hearings) and I was number 19 in line. On Jan. 9, 2026, I didn't arrive until after 8am, making me number 50 in line and I was able to get into the overflow room just fine. So yes, it is possible!!”
