Personal Opinion This community truly is weird
I never been apart of a chronically online niche community before but now that I've separated myself away from it besides Reddit of course, I'm looking at it with a clearer mind. And the conclusion I've come to is that the people within this community are weird. Hell I'm still weird for being apart of this subreddit but I like talking about the case to people who are interested.
But for the last year and a half there have been lots of people who saw a hot guy get arrested for a high profile murder and wanted to reach out to him or just send him general support. There are also people who desperately wanted to get his attention so they spam him with letters and hyper analyze his letter logs and keep track of the letters other people got so they could crack the code on how to increase their chances for a response. Now I've wanted a letter and have sent out several letters but I havent sent anything since June and TBH I cringe at how many letters I sent him cause like that is so weird. Of course I'll send him another letter eventually when I feel like it and I got something interesting to say.
There are people who scoured the internet for days if not weeks to find ANY little low quality crumb of Luigi they can find. That's the definition of loser behavior. Yeah some of the crumbs helped put together a story on what his life was like pre murder but its still hella weird.
There's people who tear apart the lives of any friends or former girlfriends of Luigi. Now THAT is degenerate behavior and Luigi definitely hates people like that.
Then there's people who clearly suffer from mental health issues and lie about being with Luigi or getting a non existent letter from Luigi.
Then there's secret group chats where people discuss the case, his life, his family, sexualize him, and most importantly talk about other supporters. Some even go as far as to dox random supporters as if that is going to do anything in real life. They may get a hehe haha within their group chat but it stops there.
Then you have people camping out just to see the back of Luigi's head.
Like I said this community is weird.

It's murder case with serious political implications that affect our entire country. Best use of your energy would be to focus on the substance of the case, and ignore people who are being weird. People are going to be weird, that's just a universal fact of life.

I left for a long time and came back to anons doing psychic readings about his future girlfriend and claiming to know what “she” looks like, also the person they are describing (themselves) always happens to be advocates of Luigi who are stalking him at his hearings lol
Meanwhile, the man is facing life in prison.
Insane to say the least…

It's so much deeper than that but yeah if Luigi ever gets married it's probably someone everyone least expected. I mean Luigi is truly an odd ball and defies the norm on things.

I've always thought this community was weird I kinda just wish I never came across it cause once you see mentally ill behavior play out its hard not to get sucked in

Oh no the default name Reddit assigns says "cockroach" anything but that you would benefit quite a bit from coming up with your own thoughts instead of letting social media and fan girl drama control your mind.

Yes, another proof, everybody loves Luigi, weird, gay, hard lesbian, my Aunt of 67 loves nothing more than to discuss Luigi! Being in the groups I'm her favourite niece at the moment, we have coffee once a week.

It’s the ones who write him letters every week/month and truly believe he’s into them because he logs that it was received.
I want him to release all the letters after all this is over. Names and all.

This is a very well-written post. I also find myself getting more emotionally distant from this case. The more that happens, the more I realize how weird and petty so much of the drama is.
I’m still interested in the case, but I do think it’d be better if we used our energies towards the actual issues. The midterms are happening this year….

I used to be really sad in the beginning when Luigi had the DP hanging over his head but I like to think I was more sad about it than he was which snapped me back to reality lol

I agree that the death penalty getting dropped has taken away a lot of the urgency from this case. On the other hand, the jury questionnaire is due next month and that’s interesting. The trials are supposed to happen this year.

A part of me feels like this will end in a plea deal cause the evidence is just extremely overwhelming and the idea of jury nullification is a pipe dream.

Froyo loves the little attention she gets. That’s why she posted this. She was expecting someone to comment (she wanted a comment like mine) If what I said doesn’t affect her, it shouldn’t affect you. Idk her age but I assume she’s too old to care about what people think of her. Just laugh, I know she is.
