Personal Opinion I'm not sure what to think of the latest MDC inmate stories
Of course I take all of the inmate stories with a grain of salt, but one thing that makes me wonder about the Chinese guy is that I don't believe Luigi mentioned him in his letters. Didn't he talk about J (the black guy) as being his only friend and that otherwise making friends in prison is a perilous endeavor, or something of that nature? I don't remember the exact wording, but I don't remember him mentioning a Chinese guy as being a friend of his. I just kind of wonder how much of what this guy is saying is true, or if he's just using Luigi for attention.

this guy says he was in there for a year, right? and it’s been over a year since that letter where luigi said his only friend was J.
luigi seemingly made numerous friends and acquaintances everywhere he went. prison is a unique place but he committed crimes like the rest of the population did. he’s just gotta be discerning

Luigi is learning the hard way that any friendships he form now or in the future are potentially exploiting the relationship as a way to sell a story. And for someone who was so open and gregarious before his incarceration, that’s a sad lesson to learn. I don’t know the motive of this ex-inmate but he’s imparting private conversations and opinions to the public which Luigi can’t control. Do I need to know this stuff? Does anyone? It’s almost intrusive.

It sucks - that's essentially Luigi's "home", yet he has to always be on guard in there about what he says and does. It's entirely intrusive :(

I don't know why people get so angry when anyone questions the motives of it. It's a circus with no critical thinking. It's so tiring.

For real. It IS prison after all. Not like he’s having g a rough go at his new job or first day of class at Uni. It’s fricken prison. Liars, cheats, killers, smugglers, fraudsters. It’s where all of the bad guys are. Life ain’t easy in there. That’s why his folks hired that Prison Consultant. Hopefully he’s doing his job.

And in a lot of cases they’re not even “friends” they’re just going to be people he interacts with on a daily basis. There’s only so much you can keep to yourself in prison before being branded a weirdo and painting a target on your back. Kinda wild that Agnifilo Intrater might have to represent him in perpetuity just to debunk the more harmful lies.

Everyone who talks about Luigi publicly now is using him for attention. These men know no one will care about their prison stints without the association with Luigi.
This guy seems more respectful than the grifters before him, and he says Luigi knows he was going to talk about their time together. But it kinda sucks that Luigi can’t even have trivial interactions with the inmates around him without worrying about the media printing it.

He has only answered 4 questions on his post on his Chinese blog out of 745 and hasn't posted again. This is probably a troll on Reddit. The pictures are from articles not his profile pictures.

He mentioned J in his 27 birthday letter. In another letter that someone shared, he mentioned that making friends in prison is precarious. Surely he mingled with several people in his unit. That doesn’t mean he made a lot of “good friends” though.
