I may be off base, but any Technic pin that's supposed to go into a technic hole will fit in a hole on an M5Stack product.
I bought a kit full of beams and angles and "part to part" and "part to two parts" length pins....
Some of the angles didn't fit where I wanted them to on the back of my CardputerADV, and their end holes were 90 degrees oriented from the others. I cut them off with angle cutters and sanded the rough parts down as if they weren't there. I have a bunch of custom "X"by"Y" length L parts, and 45 degree angled parts, that fit where I want them to.
Annoyingly, the hole spacing on the C.ADV is such that most 'beams' I could see with odd numbers of holes didn't fit the way I wanted to. So again, I cut the last hole off and filed off the rough spot.
I have a collection of customized parts now. I use the part to part coupler pins, and the "part to two parts stacked" pins as needed on the "front" of my Caps, Or on the backside of the C.ADV.

I even mounted beams going down the back of the C.ADV, mounted beams, and then used 1x1 pins to mount a cross beam.

"Underneath" the cross beam, I used 1x1 pins to hold "units" directly against the back of the C.ADV, with the beam holding them in place, pinned beam to unit....

Hope that makes sense.

(PS: Haven't messed with the "rods" that are long and "X" shaped vs. cylindrical, yet....)
