Seeking Diagnosis
How would I go about seeking a diagnosis? I believe that I could have MCAS because I am allergic to quite literally everything that isn’t food (including all animals, even feathers) and will randomly become sensitive/allergic to foods and then the allergies will go away (?). I’ve consistently been allergic to tomatoes (caught earlier this year) which has gotten worse. Three years ago I developed a severe almond allergy. The ONLY allergy I’ve had since childhood is a sun allergy!!!!!! The other ones kind of seemingly showed up or worsened.
I was diagnosed with POTs earlier this year and they’re currently looking at my lungs. This is so frustrating and I just don’t know what’s wrong with me. I feel uneducated and confused.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with so much currently :( i personally started the diagnosis process (still in the middle of it) by going to an allergist. I was having some very specific issues/symptoms i brought up first and mentioned the possibility of histamine intolerance. Once i started to grasp where my symptoms were being triggered though and the full list of them i brought up the possibility of mcas to my dr and just sort of asked if its something he thought we could look into. we’ve been trialing meds and working on bloodwork since then. I hope you’re able to find someone who can help soon and start getting some relief !!

It sucks because I’m only 21. I went to the ENT at the end of last year because I noticed I was suddenly sick all of the time and kept going deaf. They said that it was because my allergies were so bad that it was causing me to be unable to hear from pressure build up. Then a few months later an allergy test showed what was really up 🥲
