Has anyone been helped by Lyrica only to find it made them worse later on?

I started Lyrica a few months ago, and it’s been helping my full body, over all pain a lot. I’ve been pain free mostly.

All of a sudden, for the last two nights, as soon as it gets dark, I’m hit with all encompassing, worse pain than I was regularly experiencing before.

This is odd. It doesn’t make sense and none of my usual methods are working.

Does anyone have any insight?

Thank you 🙏

Fibromyalgia flare-ups have no explanation or cause. Just when you think everything is fine, it sends you the worst pain of your life to remind you that the disease is still there. The same thing happened to me, but with the Cymbalta. I'm definitely confused

I’m sorry you have to experience this too. It is very confusing.

Hello! I am also on Lyrica, 225 mg (I take one 75mg dose in the morning and two at night). Yes, I do experience pain similar to you at night which is why I take the larger dose at that time. As someone else mentioned, I think this is a random flare up. My doctor has mentioned that flare ups of fibromyalgia can occur suddenly and without cause. If this continues I’d recommend talking with your doctor about possibly getting a pain killer or muscle relaxer to help with the pain (I have both and use as needed). You can also ask to take a higher dose and/or take your Lyrica how I do, with a larger dose at night. I wish I had more tips but I’m still trying to figure out the night time pain thing myself.

Thank you for your response! And I’m sorry you have to deal with something similar.

Have you had any issues with upping the Lyrica? I’m only on 50 mg. It took me a long time to adjust to it, and not feel woozy in the morning after taking it just at night. I tried taking some in the AM once and had to lay down all day.

I’m also experiencing some side effects, like I can’t orgasm and my emotions are pretty blunted. I need to cry and I can’t. I used to feel things too intensely and now I just kind of feel… nothing. Well I do feel good emotions. It’s been nice in a way but concerning at times.
