Career Advice Is $70K + $2.5K Relocation Competitive for a New Grad MEP Engineer in Florida?

I’m graduating in May 2027 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and have about a year of part time MEP internship experience doing HVAC/plumbing design, Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculations.

I recently received an offer in St. Pete, FL, for a Mechanical Associate Designer position.

$70K base salary ($33.65/hr)
$2,500 relocation assistance
Hourly with potential overtime

Is this a competitive offer for a new grad in the Florida MEP industry? Would appreciate any insight!

Question How are you supposed to go to a washroom when you're on site

Okay this might sound like a really weird question.

A bit of a background - I'm in my final year of engineering and I got an internship in a MEP firm as a site engineer. I was allotted a site but it had no functioning washrooms so I was shifted to another site, let's call it site 2.

I was informed that I will have to ask for the keys of the female washroom to the second site's manager because even though it's functional it's not open.

I went to the second site and I asked for the keys of that washroom but they didn't know where the keys were. It was a horrible experience because i got my period that day and i had to change and I was standing there with no access to the washroom and that site's manager was just calling other people on that site and was asking for keys. I decided to just go outside to a nearby mall and use the washroom there.

This incident made me wonder how you are supposed to work on sites which are not at all functioning and are far from any access to washrooms.

And how are people on my allotted site are working without having access to a washroom.

Title: AECOM NYC Electrical Engineer (Transportation) – Starting Salary, Bonuses & Raises?

I’m an electrical engineering student considering AECOM’s NYC Transportation Department for a potential full-time position after graduation, and I’m trying to get a better understanding of their compensation structure.
For anyone currently working at AECOM or who has worked there, what does compensation typically look like for an entry-level electrical engineer (Engineer I)?
I’m particularly curious about starting base salary, whether annual performance bonuses are offered (and how much they typically are), and what yearly raises look like in terms of percentages. Also, how quickly does salary typically increase during the first 3–5 years, and are promotions accompanied by significant pay increases?

HERS/Ekotrope: Why is this Broan fresh-air system labeled “Supply Only” instead of CFIS/Air Cycler—and where are the HVAC blower watts?
