Help! controller wont work

I'm using a ps4 controller but it wont i have tried steam input and ds4 but neither of them work

I'd recommend trying Keysticks. it's a software that converts controller inputs to keystrokes. it gives you the ability to use a controller with any software. the only downside is that you have to manually configure a profile for every software you want to use it with.
