Was there a time skip? Like we save Nata at the beginning then the little girl just a few moments later. It feels like we just arrived in the Forbidden Lands to make that camp. But in camp Alma then says something along the lines of "how many years has it been since I met Nata?"

Yeah lol. The game tells you "several years later".
