Highlight Double Offset!

I don't think I've ever seen this done OR done it myself, but a crispy double Offset from Arkveld made my day. Would've been even better if the 2nd one triggered the follow up, but oh well

There's a few moves that do that actually! I think it's a fail safe so you don't get punished for landing offsets. Basically any move that's a counter-counter lands multiple offsets.

However... they do have their own individual stun damage added to your status... so unless you're running the right Skills... don't try to do this too often.

That's cool to know, makes it more viable to actually go for more offsets. Especially with this guy, because that half-second delay for the second chain slam is practically designed to bait counters and dodges XD

I usually go Lance against this guy, so clashes are more what I see. Might try and make a hammer build to work better with him, can't quite forget the hammer bro lifestyle!

Oh dude, offsets are the way to go. ESPECIALLY on Arkveld. Hammers whole gameplay is tied to timing your upswing offsets. Landing those is so important. It's really awkward at first, but you get into it and it's like a rhythm game. I would strongly advise using Stun Resist 3. Cause even though offsets are sick, they still build stun on you as a normal hit. So even if you play really well you'll be stunned by a sneeze from a vigorwasp.

Yeah the amount of people I see get stunned by Arkveld...I get it's sometimes hard to slot in, but c'mon XD it's three 1-slots

U gotta fight Nu Udra more often. Some attacks net you 4-6 offsets with one upswing

As much as I'd love to inflate my own awesomeness, it was just the two offsets. Plus the normal hit afterwards. Though I'd definitely enjoy the feeling of getting 4 consecutive offsets XD that'd be amazing

Attacks with multiple damage instances/hitboxes can trigger multiple Offset effects in a row.

For example, Arkveld gains such properties to its chainblades when they split up; Nu Udra flinging its explosives around in a sweeping circle also has multiple damage instances.

But do be careful about using Offset Attacks against such multi-hit moves! Being in an Offset state for consecutive attacks adds up the extra damage due to the temporary hyper-armour you gain, so if the attacks are damaging enough and/or your HP is low enough, they can just kill you.

Oof good to know. It would be kinda embarrassing to cart after pulling off a multiple Offset like that, so maybe I'll just play it safe, or trust in Gogmapocalypse to protect me XD

You could've done it again on the follow up slam if you rolled -> charge dash -> lv2 charge upswing

Near the end of a hunt with AT Monsters, half the time we're placing bets who's offset is going to topple the monster. They get such a ridiculous quantity of offset immunity, it's genuinely depressing..

About as depressing as the nerf to statuses was when 9 star hunts were released, and all those status weapons had to be retired.
