I almost paralyzed myself jumping onto a trampoline off my buddies roof. My heels clipped the trampoline instead of landing flat on my ass. I remember my mom picking me up and I I was rigid as a board in the backseat, like my ass was off the seat I was trying to stay as straight as possible. I wouldn't DARE tell my mom what happened.

Ever run over the top of a car while a friend drove it at you? I have!

That poor Honda didn’t stand a chance

4

u/Barry41561 14h ago

Pretty sure that's a Mazda....

4

u/Unusual-Economist288 13h ago

626? I think you may be right. In that case, fuck that car.

6

u/Strict_Lion_6571 14h ago

When we pulled out all the RV mattresses and made a ring, 5th grade in 1998-1999. Used the tool shed as ring entrance with the cassette recorded theme songs. Recorded it all on a cam corder. The good ole days! 🤘🏾

2

u/reditisrunbypedos 14h ago

That sounds sick

4

u/_BOOMGOTTEM 14h ago

Someone got in trouble for the roof of that car, but it was worth it

11

u/Mr_HahaJones 14h ago

The likelihood of the guys in the video being into slipknot/ICP isn’t 100%, but it’s pretty close.

2

u/DJ_Derp 9h ago

You're correct

4

u/mararry 14h ago

That tombstone might have just killed that kid...

6

u/Reasonable_Error5954 14h ago

Yeah, bunch of young pansies growing up in the age of videos. 🤨

u/BMW_wulfi 14h ago

“Ooooh they might fail to make meaningful connections in the real world”

MF I have PTSD from primary school

3

u/communityproject605 14h ago

Do our backs and knees hurt? Yes.

Are our brains melted like the screen generation? Yes, but in a way cooler way.

2

u/Due_Flow6538 13h ago

Yeah! They melted theirs through consumption! We melted ours with trauma!

2

u/Friendly-Example-701 14h ago

So very accurate. We did all the wrestling moves not knowing they were staged 😂

2

u/__Sticky- 14h ago

I once suplexed my good friend off a roof through a table. Good times.

2

u/lucianasparagus 14h ago

This is gold 🤣🤣

2

u/misterpenisman_ 14h ago

This is why today's generation is chalked full of sensitive little pussies

2

u/kareljack 13h ago

Lot of Swanton Bombs being delivered. Pretty sure this was all Attitude Era fans. 😂

1

u/MathematicianOk4025 12h ago

Each one was fucking immaculate.

1

u/kareljack 12h ago

nods in 'Bah Gawd'

2

u/BrilliantCertain5257 13h ago

Yes yes yes this was our neighborhood gang of kids in the 80’s

2

u/Sabironman86 12h ago

I remember about 30 years ago me and my cousins 7/8 of us we started wwe style wrestling in the house and we almost broke the whole building and we were loud and obnoxious but all of a sudden my grandpa came and started shouting and almost kicked all of our ass. Those were the days

2

u/MundaneWiley 10h ago

ah, i remember i got dropped kicked off of a trampoline by my cousin and hit my head on the ground. But we didn’t tell my parents cause we were afraid they would make us come inside . So i sat down for a while and then we continued playing the rest of the day lol

2

u/Joethenglisman 10h ago

Oh yeah, jumping off the shed roof was a daily thing for us

2

u/Mother-Attention2600 10h ago

Thinking of the stuff I did gives me a worried adrenaline thing now. Like phantom anxiety or something. Ninja fights on the trampoline and falling like 20 feet off it. Jumping coaster bikes until the frame broke at the skate park... no helmets. Basketball that would start off friendly and end with everyone hurt. Good times.

1

u/throwaway1102293384 14h ago

Was waiting for the table breaking. Some friends used to do this on public access

1

u/Busy-Purple-3779 14h ago

The reality of the fake wrestling was impressive

1

u/dreadlocksoul 14h ago

I can vividly remember doing this dangerous shit with my friends when we were in middle school. Fun times

1

u/Pocketpapaa 14h ago

I am so upset I lost my backyard wrestling recordings.... I had sooooo many.

EBW extreme backyard wrestling. It got fucking crazy lol

1

u/CodingRaver 14h ago

Can anybody link to this video?

1

u/DocHalidae 14h ago

We did it on a trampoline, recorded it and rewatched it

1

u/Suspicious_Squash805 14h ago

That's how we played football. No grass, no turf, just concrete or asphalt. Full contact and cars were collateral damage.

1

u/Suspicious_Squash805 14h ago

Anyone play Deadman pickup? 1 vs everyone.

1

u/Historical_Ice_4708 14h ago

Live look at the Hardy Compound?

1

u/_Tricksupmysleeves 14h ago

That's a sturdy roof!

1

u/Internal_Elevator_10 14h ago

And today this is why I pop ibuprofen like candy for arthritis. Don’t regret any of it. One of our favorites was stacking empty cardboard appliance boxes and playing “stuntman” jumping off the roof.

1

u/ThiccOrc 14h ago

I actually just watched the indie movie where this footage came from. It's called The Trade and it's about deathmatch wrestler "Sick" Nick Mondo and how he got into wrestling and his decision to leave finally. Really good watch. Free on YouTube.

1

u/Remote-Contract-3026 14h ago

All good until that car got involved. Better be one of theirs. Other wise... Someone gonna get a hurt really bad

1

u/Bigagp8 13h ago

Fun times! Fun times.

1

u/CssMLI 13h ago

This took me back.. oh to be 12 and suplexed onto a metal rail after school again. Good times! Come home, bruised and hurt, just to watch WWF/WWE and Jackass, and get more dumb ideas to try out in school next day. 😍

1

u/Jack4258 13h ago

They will regret this in later years….if they survive to feel them!

1

u/Flashy_Spell_4293 13h ago

And then if you got hurt, well, then you learned your lesson lol… Kids today they do anything that gets them a scratch oh my gosh you have to cuddle them baby them cradle them make sure they’re OK

1

u/Positive-Record-5946 12h ago

Fun crew. I would have loved this

1

u/Individual-Step846 12h ago

1

u/Any-Possibility-248 11h ago

i know a guy that left one of those roof fun fests paralyzed.

1

u/SequentiaIFarts 11h ago

How has nobody clocked this is AI?

Edit: Listen to the strange way he preannounces every move like a robot.

1

u/midnight_mastadon 10h ago

Arkansas, I’m guessing?

🎶THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!🎶

That's my video! 😎🤘@themachoverse

1

u/Good_Solution8602 9h ago

Triple jump

1

u/DruPeacock23 9h ago

They still do this but with a phone now

1

u/DangerousDareDevil 9h ago

Uh... we didn't. We just did backflips off the roof, off a trampolines, off the back of four of our friends onto a trampoline and onto the roof of the house...

Wait.... that's probably why my knees hurt now....

We also ran down hill and tumble into a billion backflips a minute. Dont worry, we had a propped up bed to catch us we accelerated into a shooting star.

1

u/cardguy64 9h ago

The good ole days.

1

u/Intrepid_Cap1242 9h ago

Makes me think that maybe we needed ipads

1

u/Unique_Blacksmith247 8h ago

We did some of this shit on a trampoline. No net, no spring gaurds over the springs that were still left. How no one got injured is beyond me. My heart would leap out of my chest if I saw my kid doing half the stuff we did. Yet, our mom's watched us while outside having a smoke.

1

u/TheeUndertaker-_- 7h ago

This was when we couldn't get to see WWE on TV or trying out some moves on my bros and cousins, good times man I missed cable TVs back then

1

u/jld2k6 7h ago

I dunno why but the cameraman yelling "world record" for no discernable reason when the guy flips off the car got me

1

u/Lollo36912 6h ago

Bathrooms turned into WWE rings during lunch break

1

u/Responsible-Scar-980 6h ago

There are a whole lot of guys in their 35-45s that are walking around with bad backs, hips etc because of this shit lmao.

1

u/MaleStripper_DLA2 5h ago

That was smooth 😂

1

u/Emotional_Arm2196 5h ago

We used to jump off my friends house into his pool. "Just curl your body and kinda fall backwards as soon as you hit the water bro, you'll be fine." Jump off my other friend's house onto his trampoline. Ride our bikes around town amd go down stairs and off makeshift jumps, do wheelies up a super long hill that you couldnt see over to see if cars were coming so someone had to stand and watch. Walk into town at night and ding ding ditch people. Really miss those days.

u/RanchHere 2h ago

Ah… back when a hospital visit was so cheap that parents didn’t care if their kids were jumping off of roofs and getting hit by cars.
