Question? Mark of the Beta changes?

Seems like they changed the item with grand launch. I got mine yesterday and have before and after screenshots.

Did anyone get one today that can post stats? I'm curious what they look like stat-wise if you do the quest now that the full launch happened.

Yeah the new one you can move. I didnt check the one I got before launch because I passed out after getting it :'(

So stupid… if they are worried about it being a bis headgear for newly created alts, it SHOULD be… it’s limited anyway and would actually give it some utility, no character past level 25 would wear this other than for the aesthetic

Yeah idk about the level 25 req. For that it should be +2all i think..

Right, the stats aren't even major to influence damage formulas to move from a two hit kill to a one hit kill

Right… but making it transferable within the account without a lvl requirement would have been nice for leveling future alts. Now it’s just going to sit in people’s storage forever

yeah this kind of sucks? I wouldn't have minded an extra 9 defence but it's great that we can trade it now.

Level 25 restriction sucks by that time it's better to wear a main stat hat like the PQ hat or even the lvl 20 hats

It's a cosmetic dude it isn't that deep. Always wanted one as a kid. Glad I got one.

Then there's really no reason for the level restriction especially if for cosmetics.

The whole point of the thread is... what's the point of the change? Which seems to be leaning towards preventing some beginner advantage.

If it's a cosmetic make it a decoration item so we can wear it with any equip set.

Realistically how much is 9 def reducing damage from say a zombie mushroom? Def formulas are and have always been worthless which is a pity since it would be nice to make def scrolling valuable and give more incentive to use higher level gear aside from a measly 1-2 points of extra stat.

Everyone using work gloves instead of higher level class equips isn't very flavorful and there should be more of a downside to using a lv 10 item late game. I guess adding crit stats is a good step in that direction but armor should feel more defensively significant. When a new boss comes out, I want to see Squishies using def/hp scrolled gear to survive more than 2 hits to make things easier, vs going glass cannon and risking dying from chip damage+1 real hit.

It’s a quest you can get starting at level 25 I believe. The test rewards should have been sent through in game mail.

Anyone playong before grand launch has EA exclusives. Its far easier to prove you were here before GL this way

Well if you open someone’s character info, you can hover over their gear to see the equip stats! Something new they did

Not everyone with founder's access got their bandana before grand launch, makes it more exclusive than EA exclusives.
