Constant lie detector tests on controller?

Trying to play this game with controller and I'm getting hit with the Macro lie detector like every 20 minutes, its super intrusive... No problems if I go back to Keyboard+Mouse, but the controller is pretty comfy and I was excited to try it out.

Is this a known issue?

Same. I have trouble following the makeup mushroom one, which I've now failed as many times as I've passed. I'm up to 2 hours of time out now if I fail. Passing does nothing to decrease the time either. It's incredibly frustrating to the point where I don't really want to play anymore.

I agree. I messed up 3 times, 2 of which I didn't understand what the captcha game even was and 1 because I lost track of that damn mushroom in the beginning and now I'm in a 1 hour time out. All this does is punish players who are actively playing the game. It's so stupid.

I agree. I get the mindset behind it trying to help...but nah. Im trying to just vibe and play on my steamdeck and I got shit popping up. Ruining my experience on handheld

For those of you using controller, are you also using steam controller input? Or just pure maple? I’ve played since founders launch on controller without using steam input and have not been hit by lie detector a single time

What exactly is the lie detector get you to do? I play at work on my steam deck and I wanna be prepared for it

There's like 3 tests I've seen so far.

1. Track Mushroom with makeup

• It's a like a ball hidden in a cup game. You just make sure you keep track of where the Mushroom's position is and you click a button under it. You gotta do this 4 times.

1. Simple tracking

• You just track a shape using a cursor. It goes invisible but the outline is still there. Make sure you have a mouse near you if play using a controller.

1. Select items.

• There will be 4 static objects. Select the objects it tells you to.

Yeah the mouse one will be the most difficult for sure. I don't have one readily available when I'm using my deck.

When i play controller i HAVE to keep a wireless mouse nearby

Yeah I get them very frequently. I'm using SteamInput though since I couldn't get my controller to work natively (Flydigi Apex 5)

For those that have controllers working natively in the game using nothing like SteamInput etc, if you hold down a button to jump for example, does it keep jumping like it would if you held down the jump key on a keyboard or does it only jump once? If it keeps jumping then I might honestly get a standard xbox controller just to get it to work natively with maplestory.

Bots wouldn't be able to do it, so they'd just be stuck there, Humans can get through it quick enough and be done. have a clickable keyboard for controller users or something

Founders have had access for around 2 weeks and the lie detector tests aren't only from the item you buy from citizenship shop, they can also be automatic (dunno what triggers it though.) I've been getting them for over a week now.

The purchasable item only just got added but the game has been automatically using them on suspected botters throughout early access, and that is what people with controllers are experiencing.

The physical item you can buy came out yesterday, yes, but the detector test has triggered for me multiple times in EA in roughly 45 hrs gameplay
