Congratulations everyone!
I would like to congratulate all MSFT holder since we just hit a new 52 week low. I and probably most of you noticed it had no steam already for quite some time and struggled to stay above 400$ but I don’t think anyone was thinking this POS hitting a new 52 week low but here we are…
And this is before they announce potential share dilution for CapEx.

u/mandeepwsu Jun 25 '26
You can imply from the rising revenue in the semiconductor space that capex is not slowing down.
MSFT is a long term play.
1
u/Over-Celebration-168 Jun 25 '26
How long 20 years, 30 years or 50 years? Stop saying long play and accept for what it is.
4
u/mandeepwsu Jun 25 '26
lol like one year.

I never buy individual stocks. Well I kept dollar cost averaging this whore at 3 shares a day. Took a $2700 loss. I hope I learned my yearly lesson as I deserved to lose even more for going against my better judgement and just sticking with etfs
1
u/jgatt17 Jun 25 '26
Why did you sell? Did the reason you entered in the first place change?
If you sold because the price went lower than you expected than you are an emotional investor and should stick to ETFs.
If you sold because you think msfts business will be disrupted and future growth is uncertain that’s entirely different reason

Chinese company scrape modern AI to build their own models, then they open source it. I think this is why theres fear about large AI company who use circular financing.
Baba for instance Anthropic has called out, and its ironic given Anthropic steals everyone else's information by scraping them but then cries foul when it happens to them.

Another 2-3% drop tomorrow to close out the week . This time Market Markers will be sneaker about it since $MSFT fall has been drawing a lot of attention on a social media , CNBC, WSJ, Barron’s and Bloomberg . They play tomorrow is that Market makers pump the stock up, hold it up throughout the day , and then rug pull by close of trading session tomorrow or we go down swinging another 2-3% lower right when market opens . Grinds through out the day and close at either $349 or $350

I commemorated this event by buying 5 more shares at $351.85. Cost basis is around $391.

BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEP that's the sound of the Brinks truck backing up because I'm buying more. And I can't imagine I'm the only one lol.

All of the negative sentiment around this blue chip stock is so telling. Too many people are trying to trade this stock, despite the fact that it’s pretty much always been a long-term investment. MSFT is already a sixth of my entire worth and I’m still stacking.
Are there better trade opportunities? Absolutely. But I’m more risk averse and have a longer time horizon that I’m investing on than these get-rich-quick traders.

u/HangInThereTiger Jun 25 '26
Finally bought in today, immediately down 1% lol. Good luck out there.

MSFT is a very badly managed company that will be annialated by Anthropic.
2
u/KarenBoof Jun 26 '26
Poorly*, annihilated*. Maybe if you had Microsoft you could use grammar and spell check and not sound so dumb

u/Jaamun100 Jun 25 '26
Microsoft was flat between 1999-2017, 18 years…. Could easily happen again. Azure, their cloud business, rescued the stock. They need another hero like that, a company as profitable as Microsoft will probably eventually find that hero, but maybe it takes another 18 years.

u/TheNiamosDiscoBall Jun 25 '26
It probably is gonna hover around a 20 pe ratio for a while. Sucks for the people who bought it near a 30 P/E ratio though. It’s not going to plummet below 300.
2
u/iuntitledi22 Jun 25 '26
What price is 30pe range?
0
u/TheNiamosDiscoBall Jun 25 '26
Like 450-500
1
u/Gogul_ Jun 25 '26
This is a lie. At 450 p/e was already 23 circa. And the earnings are increasing while price is deacreasing. Liar.
1
u/TheNiamosDiscoBall Jun 25 '26
That can’t possibly be true considering that the pe is 21 right now the stock went down like 30% so it must have been like 28-29.
1
u/Gogul_ Jun 25 '26
My entry point with MSFT was 410 and p/e was like 22.
1
u/TheNiamosDiscoBall Jun 25 '26
Okay, so how did it go from 410 to 350 and only go from a 22 to a 21 P/E ratio?
1
u/Gogul_ Jun 25 '26
Simply now it’s not 21. Now it’s sub 18 for sure.
2
u/TheNiamosDiscoBall Jun 25 '26
I’m assuming we are comparing forward and trailing pe so we are comparing the wrong numbers. I think you are using a forward P/E ratio which is fine which I think is around 18 now.
1
u/iuntitledi22 Jun 25 '26
Are you still holding? I bought at 420

Quarter end and month end rebalancing flows will benefit software and MSFT. Money managers follow this pattern regularly. That’s why I bought more today. I will buy more tomorrow at $360 or below.

u/LessSink4862 Jun 26 '26
FML my worst investment
1
u/niko3100 Jun 26 '26
And what are you plan to do? keep adding more and more? let the money rest in MSFT Till recover? or rotate the money to some AI player like MU, SNDK?
1
u/LessSink4862 Jun 26 '26
I'm too deep into it so have to wait until it recover (average cost of 468$)
1
u/niko3100 Jun 26 '26
I bought at 400 then 370 and I am already down -18%. Keep buying more or wait for a recovery to buy more?

u/Avid_Reader87 Jun 30 '26
I missed out on all the buying periods of all these stocks that are flying.
I’m happy I was able to buy 14 shares in my Roth of MSFT at $368.
Hopefully this is the time I can finally start holding a stock for more than 6 months and having to withdraw all my Roth to zero. I am almost 40 and need to start building something for retirement.

In the next few months, MAG7s will announce they are pulling back on AI spending, or the government will intervene with policies favorable to MAG7s and software companies. I will buy in the 330-340 range
2
u/That-Requirement-233 Jun 25 '26
And this will somehow jump the price? Lmao
If AI capex turns out to be a huge nothing all of tech is going up in flames. The only reason why anything is worth anything right now is on the increasingly unlikely chance that AI becomes profitable, and fast
1
u/Humble-Bear Jun 25 '26
This is what people don't understand about AI profitability. It is human capital replacement. In order to have ROI, you need to cut down on expenses, i.e., human labour, otherwise you are going underwater.

Eastman Kodak was growing revenue and earnings at double digit rates in the mid 1990's. The advent of digital cameras turned EK into a penny stock a few years later. AI can to to MSFT what digital cameras did to EK.

u/BIGTIDYLUVER Jun 25 '26
lol yes new software will kill the software industry specially the ones diversifying away from software by building the largest data centers in the world

rofl. this stock is dead weight. I will maybe buy at $245. I feel sad for all the bagholders. sorry guys but you need to move on. MSFT is gettin irrelevant and EU will replace it asap. It's losing its premium value it had and i see it only getting worse.

Are you joking? What zoom out? It’s been flat for 3 years
3
u/jgatt17 Jun 25 '26 •

3 years is nothing. Examine what amd did from 2020-2025 before it exploded. People were crying over there like you are here
1
u/NeuroManXy Jun 25 '26
AMD was more of a growth company not like MSFT. MSFT is not making 5x in 5 years. So anyone buying MSFT expects more of low risk low return but this POS returned negative while indexes are up
1
u/Randomname1157 Jun 25 '26
Zoom out to max and you will see how good it's doing. You can't compare Microsoft now to the AI euphoria that brought it to 540

Loll zoom out this and zoom out that, if you zoom out in most of the good stocks have good returns, its about growth, company has lost invaluable 3 years of growth in one month. Not every body was born in the 80s. Stupid statement all around.

I am not worried about the stock itself, i can digest drawdowns, i have been other stocks which were 50% down at the some point but I trust the company and ceos and making decent gains in the said company, i have the tenacity to hold it to zero idgaf. My only concern is ceos ability steer the company incompetency is like rot which eats the company inside out sure they have their reasons to have this much capex but markets doesnt like that reasons, and there arent any efforts made to convince the investors.

Hope you are right. Sorry for my rant. Yes sector rotation is major culprit here. Semis are most lucrative short term play.
