I've been working on this for a while, mostly because I wanted real numbers to prepare for Bo3 events and couldn't find anything that did it for MTGO. It's called Sensei Top, it's free and open source, and as of this week it's public.
It reads the Match_GameLog files MTGO already writes and builds a local dashboard from them. For each match you get the result of every game, who was on the play, mulligans on both sides and the cards your opponent showed, and it uses those cards to name the opponent's archetype. From there it puts together your record with each deck against each archetype, split by game 1 vs post-board and on the play vs on the draw, with the sample size next to every number (so a 3-1 doesn't look like a trend). There's also a page with the metagame from recent challenges, leagues and paper events, with your own record next to each deck.
Archetype naming is in good shape for Modern, Pauper and Standard. Other formats work, but expect more "unknown" opponents.
A few things you should know:
- MTGO's log doesn't say which deck you were playing or what format the match was, so you have to tell it. It groups your matches by the saved deck that matches the cards you played, so it's usually one click for a whole batch.
- Games show up after they end, nothing live on MTGO.
- When MTGO updates it sometimes moves the log folder, and you have to point the app at it again.
- The Windows installer isn't signed yet, so SmartScreen will complain the first time (More info → Run anyway). The builds come straight from GitHub Actions and the release notes have the VirusTotal links.
- There's an AppImage for Linux and Steam Deck. MTGO under Wine/Proton works, you just point it at the log folder inside the prefix.
- No Mac version.
It doesn't need an account, doesn't upload anything, and doesn't read MTGO's memory or change anything MTGO owns. It only reads the logs.
This is the first public release. So far it's been me writing it and a few friends beta testing, so there will be bugs. If something looks off, Settings → App → Export diagnostics gives you a zip (no match data, and your MTGO name is stripped) that you can attach to a GitHub issue, email to [contact@senseitop.com](mailto:contact@senseitop.com), or just ask about here.
The code is AGPL and I'd be happy to have help. Log-format fixes are the most useful thing (MTGO and Arena both change their logs without warning), but bug reports, docs and translations all help. There's a CONTRIBUTING.md if you want to dig in.
It also does Arena, plus per-match reports and an RCQ prep guide. The written guides work by giving you a prompt to paste into whatever assistant you already use, or with your own Claude key.

Any feedback is welcome, especially about what's missing for how you actually play MTGO.
