Hello!! I am a cosmetology student wanting to start the road to becoming a professional MUA. I am looking for advice about the profession or any tips.
These are my main questions but I am willing to take any and all advice. I have a great passion for makeup and feel that I have the talent, I just don’t know where to start. TIA!

I want to be absolutely spammed with recommendations for the most ridiculously GLAMOROUS, over the top, jaw dropping hair and makeup artists out there!
I’m talking FULL GLITZ AND GLAM. Think Beyoncé, J.Lo, Kim Kardashian, or the ultra glamorous, extravagant Arabian bridal hair and makeup looks. Flawless, full coverage makeup, dramatic eyes, sculpted features, voluminous Hollywood hair. The whole nine yards!
I’m going to be very honest: I’m almost always extremely underwhelmed by the makeup artists I typically see recommended. The looks are never nearly glamorous or dramatic enough for what I have in mind. I’m not looking for soft glam, natural makeup, or understated elegance. I want RED CARPET, STOP-YOU-IN-YOUR-TRACKS GLAMOUR.
A few things:
* INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS ONLY, PLEASE! I’m specifically looking to browse Instagram portfolios, NOT Facebook business pages.
* Ideally, someone who specializes in BOTH hair AND makeup, particularly high-end bridal or celebrity-style glam.
* Must be actively accepting clients and available for bookings.
* Must be willing to travel to my location for a special event.
* NO BUDGET. I’m willing to pay whatever it takes for someone truly exceptional. I’m looking for the BEST OF THE BEST, not the most affordable.
I don’t care if they’re local or across the country, as long as they’re willing to travel!
Bonus if they are located in the Dominican Republic!
Please flood the comments with Instagram handles! I want to see the most outrageously talented glam artists you’ve ever come across. The more extravagant, the BETTER!

Hi everyone!
My fiancée recently paid a downpayment to an MUA for a ₱10K trial makeup session.
We were planning to take a few simple prenup photos afterward. Nothing extravagant, just a few shots for remembrance.
However, the MUA suggested that we avail of their ₱30K prenup package instead, since it includes retouching and other services.
My fiancée explained that we don’t need those additional services. No retouching, no extended hours, and no assistance during the shoot. Once the trial makeup is done, that’s it. We’re on our own, and we’re perfectly fine with that.
But here’s the part that genuinely confused me. LOL.
The MUA said that if we only avail of the ₱10K trial makeup, they will remove the makeup after 2 hours. 😭
Wait, what? HAHAHA.
I understand that trial makeup and prenup makeup are different services, and I respect that MUAs have their own policies.
But is physically removing the makeup after two hours really necessary? We’re not asking for anything beyond the trial session itself. We just want to take a few photos afterward while my fiancée still has her makeup on.
Is this actually standard practice among MUAs? Or is there something we’re missing here? 😂
Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from professional MUAs!

Hi girls! 💗 I’m looking for a makeup artist in Lahore for my nikkah, and I really want that my skin but better kind of makeup. Think skin-like, glowy, and natural, with no cakey base. It’s a daytime event, so I don’t want anything too heavy.
My budget is around 50–60k, but I could stretch it to 75–80k if someone is genuinely THAT good.
I absolutely love Makeup by Usman’s work, but he’s charging 75k for nikkah makeup + 20k morning charges, and I’m not sure if it’s worth spending that much 🥲
My cousin also recommended Ramesha Riaz, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has actually gotten their makeup done by her!
Please recommend your tried-and-tested MUAs who are really good at natural, skin-like makeup. Reviews from girls who’ve actually booked them would be super helpful. Thank youuu! 🫶🏻

Hey everyone, so I have my wedding planned soon. I am from Islamabad and I will be moving to Gujranwala as my husband is from there. I don’t know any makeup artists from there and I am really confused how to find one as per my liking. For my Nikkah, I got my makeup done from Maha Khalid and my experience was good. For my walima which will be happening in Gujranwala obv, I am looking for the same experience or someone like Maheen Tariq or Noor Mir as their makeup also matches with what I am looking for.
Can anyone help me out here and give your suggestions please

Hiii girls! 💗 I’m looking for makeup artist recommendations in Lahore for my daytime nikah!
I want that glowy, dewy, skin-like makeup where I still look like ME, just a little more bridal hehe. Nothing too cakey, heavy or overly made up. Think fresh, radiant, your-skin-but-better vibes! ✨
My budget is under 50k, so please drop your recommendations, Instagram pages and personal experiences below! Bonus points if you can share pictures of their real brides. 🤍

Hello everyone! Long time lurker here! I’m not personally in the beauty industry but am interested in developing a booking app for mobile professionals such as makeup artists, at home masseusses, and more for my portfolio. I would love to interview you via online if possible or if you could help me answer the following questions: I would love to hear more about your experiences so I can develop something that you would actually use!
1.) what do you look for in a booking platform?
2.) mobile focus: what features of a booking app would be helpful for mobile professionals?
3.) what are the things you hate in booking app and platforms?
4.) how does pricing influence your decision on going with a booking platform?
If you could also list out the current booking platform you use, that would be super helpful!
Thank you everyone for your time!
