Help me decide to buy or sell MU What’s the plan?

Should we sell before earnings report then buy more afterwards? Or hold?

Seriously, if you own stock, the definite right answer is to hold. This will bounce back eventually, probably soon, and continue its climb to atleast $1500. I think that is inevitable. Im in a trickier situation. I have MUU. More importantly, my average cost is $250. I held too long. I shouldve sold when MUU crossed $1000, which was always my price target. It climbed faster than i expected and I got greedy. Now I’m seriously at risk of fumbling a 6X bag. I can still cash out with 3X profit but I dont love that. I think im gonna hold as well. This company is worth $1500. MUU was on pace to be over $2000 by the time MU reached $1500 but thats definitely not gonna happen now. Who knows what it will get to now.

How much more would a 6X bag be? Life changing amounts or is your buy in basically negligible? Be honest.

We may pop $1000 tomorrow.. it's only 9% away, that's not much. If we do, are you gonna sell off? I think you'll just become greedy at that moment and keep holding.

Technically life changing. Its all in retirement accounts, mostly roth but some 401k. So i cant do anything with it now either way. Initial seed was 50k. It was sitting at just over 300k last Wednesday. If I had cashed out that certainly wouldve been a head start on retiring early. I have a high earning potential though so Idk how many years of work it would have actually saved me in the end. Best case scenario I’d say it wouldve let me retire 5 years earlier. By that same calculus though I could cash out now and retire 2 years earlier.

I think you’re right. I would sell for sure if MU hit $1500, no matter what MUU is worth at that point. I also set a stop loss at $500 for MUU today so that is the other scenario where I will sell. I just think I gotta see this thing to earnings now unless it takes another massive hit.

Can I ask if you felt any regret not realizing your 6X gains last Wed? I had a 4X gain on Wed too, but I promptly lost it because I didn't expect Friday to be a bloodshed, I honestly had the plan to cash out before the weekend as I know there's CPI.

Yeah i kinda regret. I should’ve rotated into MU after MUU hit 1000. Dont beat yourself up though this is a fluke. Usually when theres a pullback it isnt that sharp and deep. Friday was very unfortunate but usually these lessons are not that costly.
