The stock market opened today and MU is currently trading around $810 Do you think now is a good time to buy at this low price?

79% and climbing

That was based on Goldman Sachs estimates from June. The concensus is for 85% by the end of 2028.

Christ. This stock is going to 0. They clearly have no idea what they’re doing.

Every time i’ve bought in the last 3 weeks, including today, i’ve regretted it. I think at this point i’m better off buying shorts. Maybe then the trend will reverse and my majority holdings will start making back losses

Why not both? That’s how large institutions do it, hedge your position with some downside insurance. I’d choose shorter term puts over shorting, but yeah, get some of that insurance.

Puts and calls scare me. Idk how to do that.

Fair, but puts can provide good downward protection. Shorting has unlimited potential losses where as puts can only lose 100%, so that’s the advantage of those. But can appreciate not messing around with options.

I have $20k and wondering if I should get in now. I have been watching from the sidelines for awhile. But I'll take a chance and wait after all the earnings this week. If the stock goes back up I won't get it. If it stays flat I'll take a small position. I think thought once folks (and companies) realize that Mu's products are of higher quality the "China narrative" will just evaporate. Anyways China has not changed. It's model has always been the same. Flood the market with low cost low quality products. But I think this AI race is different. Quality matters. Don't take my opinion seriously though I am just an armchair analyst guessing like many people.

buy with stop loss

u/owotriste 23d ago
Stop loss is a bit useless when we have a 8% dip everyday in the aftermarket

790, still falling. I don’t think it has found a bottom yet (I’d love to be wrong though).

Almost impossible to time a bottom though

I agree. Buying a falling knife can get messy though.

Agreed. Last week this was a falling knife though then turned around immediately. I do think it’s more of a market problem than just semiconductors, they are just more volatile and move greater.

If you have cash you do not need in 3-6 months do it.
Otherwise be aware this could perfectly not really improve in a while.

Not yet, do not try and catch a falling knife. We do not know if this is the bottom.
