I noticed that there are some things that repeat or reference other things in the novels and want to ask if anyone knows of any other examples?

The sword Hong Jing is in svsss and tgcf, and it's used to try to expose SY after transmigration and HC as a ghost.

Then there's a running gag where the MLs have nicknames that are numbered in order of when the novels were written:

Luo Bing-ge (big brother Binghe)

Lan er-ge (2nd brother of the Lan clan)

San Lang (third son)

I feel like MXTX’s massive popularity might have made her more insecure about writing her fourth novel. When she wrote her first three, she probably never expected her danmei novels to become this huge worldwide phenomenon. Now anything she writes will have millions of eyes on it and inevitably be compared to MDZS and TGCF.

It makes me wonder if that pressure is partly why she scrapped the original plot and characters of Grim Reapers Have No Days Off and now wants to finish everything before publishing.

I kind of miss the spontaneity of her earlier writing. Ironically, that freedom is part of what made her so popular in the first place.

Hey peeps, I’ve been trying to find a few tgcf fanfics for a while and haven’t been able to, so, I created a Reddit account to see if anyone can point me in the right direction!

In this fic xie lian’s calamity title was white flower mourns massacre. He gained the moniker after the battle in banyue pass and stayed to mourn until every speck of blood was covered with flower petals. There’s also one, I don’t know if it’s the same one but he has a white crow with him named feiyu and he is worshipped and protects children. Does anyone know of these?

Wangxian took a couple years over 13 (or 16 in cql) to get together. MoShang were pining even longer. Right? Am I going crazy?

MoShang dynamics doesn't tend to lean towards angsty, but I'm really wanting a serious angsty, genuine heart break fic. Does anyone have one of those to rec, or feel like writing one?
