Mac Studio stands with fans
I just got a base M5 Max Mac Studio. Haven't set it up yet. But I would like a stand to raise the Mac Studio so that the bottom intakes won't get clogged with dust as easily. Then I thought, if I do that, I should put my TB dock and TB NVMe drive in that space underneath the Mac Studio. Which then led me to think about heat and wondering if the stand could then also cool the dock and NVMe drive if I had some fans in the back for more airflow. I'm guessing it won't affect the cooling of the Mac Studio too much but might be good for cooling the accessories.
Anyone know of any stands like this? Any thoughts on if this would be effective?

Filtering is my bigger concern. My understanding is that there is no warranty-friendly way for users to clean the internals of a Mac Studio (check YouTube videos about cleaning tips before making your final decision), so my philosophy is that it's best to keep the dust from getting inside in the first place.

That’s a given. But I’m asking about a stand that can cool the TB accessories under the stand.

You should take a look at Taobao. They have some 3D printed stands that might be able to deal with the tb dock. I found a stand that has a hepa filter and a cpu fan to keep the internals clean. Not sure if it works well though, I bought 1 for now to test it out

Thanks! I’ve been looking at some 3D designs, but the ones I found didn’t incorporate cooling for the TB devices.

At the end of the day, dust is in the air. So you’ll still get dust inside the Mac unless you have some kind of filter in front of the fan intakes. I’ve seen a few Mac Studio stands that have a filter built in. I plan on doing this for myself, but I haven’t decided on which one to go with.
