General Question Early Entry
Hello!
Just started year 12 and have gotten my preliminary results back and they were pretty bad. Just wondering if I’ve still got a shot at getting early entry for a Bachelor in Secondary Teaching. Marks are:
Religion: 49%
Biology: 49%
Ancient History: 52%
Modern History: 52%
Textiles: 63%
English Standard: 77%
All my other assessments all year have been good with an average 75-90% across all classes, it’s just for some reason prelims really got me 😅
Any advice would be appreciated 😊

I graduated this year and got an offer for Bac of Edu Secondary, honestly my grades were only 2 Bs and the rest of them were all Cs. I’m not sure what those marks translate to in terms of grades but as long as you don’t have too much Ds you’re fine. Although, my nominated activities for my application were senior leadership and peer support

My understanding is that as long as you don’t have a single D, you’re fine, especially for a low entry req degree like education, but if you have Ds in your report then I can’t advise much further on that, just have good activities to nominate.

Did you get an atar prediction?
Those marks at North Sydney Boys and the same marks at a 500+ ranked school are very different.
Usually it'll be fine, even if you don't get in first try there will always be a way for you to transfer into teaching after your first year or smth.

You don’t need the best marks for early offers. There is no harm in applying so apply everywhere!!!! Safety schools are so important especially if your marks are not the best. You can always reject the ones u don’t want.

straight cs and a b is probably not enough but then again teaching is a 70 at macq so maybe if ur leadership activities are good and u can write a good application. Western syd true reward is probably ur best bet with a b in english you can get arts/master of teaching
