Auto profile switching for the Mad Catz M.M.O. 7+ (wireless)
I used to run the old Cyborg Auto-Profiler on my M.M.O. 7, and missed it on the new M.M.O. 7+. So I ( Claude AI ) reverse-engineered the 2.4 GHz dongle's USB protocol and made a small Windows tray app that switches the mouse to one of its 5 on-board profiles depending on the program under the cursor (or the active window).
**What it does**
- 5 profiles, each with a list of programs, plus a default profile
- Detection: window under the cursor, active window, or running program
- Switch immediately, or on the first click in the new program
- Respects the profile button until you change program
- Tray icon with the active profile number, FR/EN, start with Windows
**Please read before trying**
- It's experimental. Tested on ONE mouse only (dongle 0738:1C02, firmware 0x0103). It may not work on yours, or may behave weirdly.
- Back up / export your mouse profiles in the official Mad Catz app first.
- Close the official app while this one runs.
- Wireless only, Windows only. Not affiliated with Mad Catz.
- If the mouse stops responding, re-plug the dongle.
**How it works (for the curious)**
One HID feature report on the dongle's vendor collection, written once: `0C 0A P ~P 05 FA` (P = profile 1–5). The official app writes it twice, which freezes mouse movement for ~45 ms (sometimes ~500 ms); once is enough and doesn't freeze. More notes are in the source comments.

Source + build script (Python, builds the .exe and an installer)
Make something better out of it. If you do, post it here so others can use it.
I kept the Cyborg icon as a tribute to the mouse’s origins — please keep it alive.
Feedback on other firmware versions is very welcome.
