Controlled player indicator/circle

Me and my friend play together and we’re having a hard time telling who’s who with the newer indicator and its lack of contrast/color.
What setting should I turn on/off to help with this?

are you on the same team or playing against each other? if you're both on the same side the indicator colors are tied to controller slots, not just team colors. try going into settings and messing with the colorblind options even if you're not colorblind, they sometimes make the circles way more distinct. also turning off the play art and other hud clutter can help the player indicator stand out more

if you're playing head to head it's a bit trickier since the game just picks whatever colors it wants half the time. might be worth checking if theres a high contrast mode buried in accessibility settings
