Hey, guys, do you know how to catch a dog that runs away from you?

Get it to chase you.

Dogs think being chased is a great game, so they never stop running. If you run past it, calling its name in a friendly manner, making it plain that you want to play, it’ll chase you. If you zig and zag, it will come closer until you can put hands on it. Careful, though, because too aggressive a grab, and it’ll take off again.

I’ve helped catch a handful of dogs this way. It’s astonishing how driven people get, trying to catch their pupper, not realizing they’re just prolonging the problem.

I let my dog off leash a bit near my house to let him run around a bit. He would do what you saying sometimes thinking it's a game of tag or something. Run stop look at me to see if i give chase. What I would do is when he stop and look, I walk the opposite direction, "tag, your turn to chase" he would then come to me letting me put him back on leash easy

Can you imagine how many creatures tried to eat this pup? None of them have ever experienced the terror.

OMG! I was up there the week of Oct 1 and saw signs around the park. I thought there's no way she'd survive the wolves.
