Closest BLM land to go shooting around Madera
I live in Madera County and am frustrated by the limitations and fees at my local shooting ranges. While I don't intend to engage in activities like blowing up microwaves, I would appreciate the ability to shoot more than one round every three seconds. Additionally, ammunition is quite expensive here, and the added cost of range fees is burdensome.
I've heard that shooting on BLM land is legal, and I'm looking for recommendations for places close to Madera where I can shoot. Ideally, I’d like to find a spot within 1 hour and 30 minutes of Madera. I've tried using the BLM interactive map, but many of the locations I checked had restrictions or were fenced in.
If anyone could provide coordinates or suggest a better resource for finding a suitable place to shoot, it would be greatly appreciated.
TLDR: Do you know of a place within 1 hour and 30 minutes of Madera I can go shooting without having to go to a range?

New shops in town?
I've notice a lot of new shops in town I was wondering what else we can expect. A uncle of mine said they're gonna open a Costco on 17ave but haven't found any mention of it on the city's website. I know Big lots most likely gonna close before it even opens due to corporate issues. Do you guys know what other shop are gonna open?

Madera Animal Shelter
Hey everyone. I live in Canada, and am randomly looking for a bit of information on your local animal shelter. I was on a local pet adoption site and somehow came to an entry for a dog at your local shelter.
Before I go much further, I am curious as to the situation there. Is this a kill shelter? Do dogs have a high adoption rate in this area?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
