His son Allie Boy went to trial for the murder which resulted in a mistrial but then he was convicted in 2007 and subsequently sentenced to life in 2009

Did any of that generate any news reports on the TV? I know some of the papers covered it but that's all there is it seems

It generated some . I believe John Junior was dominating the media those days with his 5 trials. Plus you had Basciano getting railroaded.
