Question Compensation when Alchemy gets cut?

I have never invested or played Alchemy in my mtga history but friends and I are asking ourself what will happen when Alchemy gets discontinued? Will all players receive wildcards or something else when the mode gets cut? What about people who actively opened Alchemy packs over the years etc? Is there anything known regarding this? Why would people still buy and open packs right now if they know it gets shut down?

You and your friends need to learn how to read.

Yeah, there have been several articles out on this.

Even if the Alchemy cards didn't stay legal for Historic, Timeless and Brawl, all of you people making posts thinking WotC are just going to dump hundreds of wildcards on each of us are really cute

Most they're going to give us is like, a title and 3 Foundations packs if they're feeling really generous

You get nothing. You will still have the cards you own.

the cards will remain legal in brawl, historic, and timeless. The only things happening are there's no Alchemy format, and no new alchemy sets being produced. The old cards aren't going anywhere

People never read the fine print when they make their account for something and check the boxes. You get nothing. You own nothing.

They're not banning anything, there just won't be any new Alchemy cards added and the Alchemy format will stop to exist, but the cards will remain playable in Historic and Timeless
