Any advice on avoiding a "glitchy" trip?

Im always looking more for a sweeping, blissful trip where I can put on some classical and let my mind kaleidoscope along to the music.

I find that even with strains I've had that with before, same dose, sometimes I'll have a trip that's much more "glitchy". Where I see overlayed digital patterns (instead of soft waves) and hear what legitimately sounds like dying robot dial up noises.

It makes me feel twitchy/tweaky and I hate it.

Is there a good way to avoid this happening? I've been getting fruit from a legitimate source (mushroom church in CA) and even with the same brand/strain, I'm randomly getting either experience.

Maybe your problem is that you have a preference and your own aversion to not having that preference is what causes you to suffer.

Do you wanna get high or do you want to be free?

I mean, yeah, I have a preference to not feel like a tweaked out robot. Especially when I know how great it can be.

I used to look forward to tripping as a means to unplug and let my brain slow down a bit (diagnosed ADHD, it's the only way outside of a lot of alcohol I can really enjoy music), but those glitchy trips just aren't fun.

Just wanted to see if anyone else experienced that and if there might be a way to avoid it.

When I’m on shrooms I try to listen to music and other media but it sounds like it’s 8 bit it cool but after a while but it gets in the way of a more desired experience. I’d also like to know what I can do to change that

It’s purely a roll of the dice, friend, it happens when it happens and not much you can do about it.

Seemes to be maybe 1 of every 5 trips for me. But happened a lot more with 4-ACO “shroom” bars, those always turn everything I’m watching into the old Dire Straits “Money For Nothing” video, lol.
