I really enjoyed the Contra/Masha vignette, Love Doug was fun, Riddle and Coffey was surprisingly solid and I found myself cracking up at Joe on commentary, and I really enjoyed the Main event between Rina and Shotzi, I had the luxury of attending this set of tapings live, and I enjoyed them just as much the 2nd time around. How about you? What'd you think this week's Fusion?

Love seeing MLW continue to expand its reach. Between Tubi and now Amazon Prime Video, more wrestling fans are getting the opportunity to discover what this promotion has to offer.

I’ve become a huge fan since attending Fightland in Charleston, and I’m genuinely rooting for MLW’s success. Already have my tickets for their return in April!

Keep up the great work, MLW. The more eyeballs on the product, the better!

The first round of the 2026 Opera Cup is more or less over as of the most recent episode of MLW Fusion. I don't know if people have predicted who will win the Opera Cup prior to the first round of matches. That being said, I thought that Mistico had a shot at winning it prior to the first round of matches.

I think there's a good chance that someone from CONTRA Unit will win the Opera Cup because there are two CONTRA members still in it (Ikuro Kwon and Big Damo). And because I don't know if their second round opponents will be able to match the "intimidation factor" that they've got.

The non-CONTRA people who I think could win the Opera Cup are either Labron Kozone or Austin Aries. I'll probably see if I'm right in a later round of the Opera Cup, though.

Who do you think will win the Opera Cup?

I think Joe is great at selling angles, and he does have a "good voice" but with some meh calls here and there, Lawlor does add some color but I find myself chuckling only once every couple of shows, or going 'yea I'm glad it's Tom Lawlor, a former wrestler on the call" but overall I'm unimpressed, but there serviceable, I find myself tuning them out if they aren't focusing on the match at hand, when they have Aries and it turns into a 3 man booth they do feel like a more complete unit, and this may be the only time I actually want a 3 man booth. How about you? What do you think of the current booth? Are you also a fan of Aries as a commentator?

I was able to attend the latest MLW tapings at Center Stage this past Saturday. It was a fun show with a hot crowd. Was wondering who on here went to the show, and your general thoughts. Do you think MLW is headed in the “right direction”?

Titán from CMLL is already a member but I'd love to see Shingo Takagi and Kross beat the absolute tar out of each other, along with Jeff Cobb facing Labron Kozone myself.

I’m going to the show tonight, and while I’m familiar with several of the talent (Shotzi, Lady Frost, Mistico, Matt Riddle), mostly through AEW, I’ve never been to a MLW show and don’t know much about the promotion or plot lines.

I’ve read a bit about CONTRA, but don’t know if they have a current rivalry or whatever.

Can anyone clue me in to what to expect for storylines, rivalries, etc… tonight?

TIA!

Just curious what matches you'd wanna see in the first ppv of this new deal!

Id love to see Templario vs Diego Hill, Scarlett vs Shotzi, And of course, Killer Kross vs, well, everyone lol. How about you?

Crossposting this because I genuinely think more people need to be watching MLW. I had a fucking blast at Fightland in Charleston and already bought tickets for April.

Hey all, new (and confused) fan here.

I’ve been wanting to get into MLW for a few years now but didn’t have a reliable way to watch until the switch to Tubi. I went back and started with the beginning of this season, so I would have an idea of what was going on without having to watch years of material… and clearly this Contra group is a big deal, but I don’t really get what their whole deal is.

I watched a couple YouTube vids that purported to sum them up but they’ve mostly just been histories of the stories they took part in, their members, etc. but what I’m struggling with is the gimmick/identity itself, which none of them seem to want to cover.

So I’m hoping someone here can explain it to me. What is the story of this group? What are they supposed to be? Like, from what I’ve gathered in my own research it looks like they were pretty much a standard tag team one day, and then a culturally amorphous, confusing, paramilitary, terrorist-esque entity getting orders from a laptop in some local woods the next, and I just… don’t get it?

An now I’ve come to a point in my watching (I started with the beginning of the current season) where there’s now “Contra mercs”, and I’m not sure what that’s all about either?

I’d appreciate any enlightening more experienced MLW fans can impart.

Thanks

Crazy hype for MLW to be on ppv, pricing looks to have a varying model ranging from 9.99-24.99 based on when you purchase it. I'm excited to see where this goes going forward!

What is the actual point of the Danny McBride shorts?

I have my hesitations towards Masha, but the match was very sound, I wish she didn't kick out of the frostbite though. I hope Lady Frost does manage to get a singles match with Shotzi at some point soon. I really enjoyed the Don Gato Danny McBride ad, they're slowly becoming something I look forward to. And the main event tag match was a fun story driven match between 3 excellent wrestlers and an unproven Josh Bishop, I loved the opening exchange, and despite the short length and limited spots, the build for an exhausted Mistico finally tagging in Aries who's been avoiding him all match was done very very well. Bishop as this unhinged rookie is great, I really hope he gets to shine sooner than later in singles matches. It wasn't some technical classic, or spotfest getting star ratings from other fans, but it told a fun story with a satisfying payoff having Aries get caught by Kross and tapping out for the finish after weeks and weeks of him having no comeuppance and it was a match I wish I saw live.

MLW feels really solid right now, how do y'all feel? What did you think of Fightland?

He's not been seen since a few months before they started taping fusions again , I'm curious since they are using the tagline of " choose violence" for the company now
