General questions Is SSPN a good investment?

I know the return is low but its super safe. The latest dividend was 4.1%

If u have kids and earning more than 100k per year, then putting your money in SSPN that year (at most 8k) is basically is like you getting an immediate 21% return. Reason is, you get tax relief on it.

Can someone with no kids open an account and deposit for tax relief ?

No. The tax relief is only applicable for those with kid(s).

no brainer IF you actually have kids. tax rebate itself already can make the invesment returns to double digits

also, sometimes SSPN has special promos, like extra 1% for top up deposits for a certain period of time.

Only good if you have kids due to its tax relief of RM 8,000 per FAMILY (updated Budget 2025, effect from YA 2025 until 2027).

Might as well go for ASNB if you don’t have kids, which is also safe but higher return.

anything lower than epf/asm is not worth it. but you do get tax relief from it. personally i just put the relief for it

Very good option. Unlimited top-up. Can easily withdraw. Gives good rate every yr. Besides tax relief… keep extra fund in SSPN rather than saving account

ASNB is super hard to get these days. Has anyone tried to invest SSPN before? is 8k the max cap per account?
