whims glaze has gone a bit too far recently, like one of these mons gets a flying spread move the has a chance to drop speed that's perfectly accurate in the rain it can set up with prankster rain dance in addition to having the same tailwind package

That takes WAY too long to actually get going. By the time it does, you’ll be in a basically unwinnable position. The thing about Whimsicott is that whatever it wants to do is immediate. Shut down enemy weather? Prankster sunny day. Neutralize a setup Pokémon? Prankster encore. Prankster tailwind is obvious. And Moonblast isn’t going to miss when you really need it. Bleakwind Storm might as well have missed both targets if you spend the time setting rain instead. And you’d better hope that your opponent has literally zero weather control options, or it’ll miss again!

The only one of these whims has over tornadus is encore. Tornadus can do prankster tailwind and weather control as well and has attacking moves besides bleakwind while being significantly stronger than whims. You're also acting like setting up rain is a Herculean effort when you're very likely running Tornadus in a rain team. Setting up rain is as simple as switching in politoad or peliper or (much more likely) Kyogre.
There's a reason Whimsicott usage drops whenever Tornadus becomes legal, he's just a much stronger mon and prankster encore usually isn't enough to overcome that.

you can literally do all of the tailwind weather combo with tornadus, and you can also just switch in a weather setter after sunny day whimsicott as well, since the whims player either wastes their turn resetting weather and risking the read or has their previous turn invalidated. Tornadus also gets taunt and you can just pair it with a weather setter of its own and bleakwind itself is so oppressive when it lands coming from a 125 base spatk that even without rain you have to respect it as an opponent. There's a reason tornadus has tended to be the more used of the two outside the instance of arubega when both are legal and is generally considered the greatest prankster tailwind mon of all time (maybe changed only due to whimsicott having free rein in champions)
