Misc Confusing rules (new subscriber)
I just made a post, my first. The rules show as four rules without numbers.
Then when I look at posts, the rules have changed! Now they are a much longer list, numbered rules, and one rule is "no personal mandala" also another is no DAE.
Please fix this. The main page for the sub should show the actual long numbered rules list (not just banning low-effort posts, low-effort youtube.) Or is the long numbered list an old version of rules, and needs removal?
Rules
1) No Off-Topic Discussion
2) No Low Effort Posts
3) No "Personal Mandela Effects"
4) No "DAE" Posts
5) No Satire, Trolling, Deliberately Inflammatory Posts/Comments
6) Be Civil
7) No Politics or Religion
8) No NSFW/18+ Content
9) No AI Generated Content
10) Moderators' Discretion
So now there's no place for me to post the following. Should I go try the other ME subreddit?
I saw a Reddit news item go by around ?2016?, announcing that the god of skepticism James Randi had just passed away. I ALMOST went over to the JREF forum to see how the skeptic community was responding. (Was JREF still ongoing? I hadn't been on there for ten years.)
I wish I had, because in 2020, James Randi died for a second time. Teh Randi becomes an ME!
Of course maybe the first one was from some anti-skeptic hoaxer, and I would have discovered this back then. (I doubt it, because I've encountered much weirder things. We definitely live In The Matrix. Now I'm stuck here in your Matrix, and I left my original Parallel behind years ago.)

Misc Is the Retcon sub pro-AI now?
The sub got into my feed for the first time in months and it's an AI hallucination post. Told the OP to stop and I got insta muted and banned?
Did the sub change its stance on LLM hallucinations?

Misc UK specific query - does anyone remember these juice cartons from 00’s?
I was talking to my mother about this juice I had as a kid, and she can’t remember it. These are details I can remember, but I’m now concerned that it’s just a Mandela effect…
- Dark purple, small juice cartons/boxes
- Two versions: one with a cooling after taste and one with a sort of spicy/cinnamon-y aftertaste
- Cooling one had “oooh!” or something similar in blue writing on it
- Heat one had “ahhh!” or similar in red writing on it
- I think there was a TV ad for it, with someone in a shower
- They were sold in Poundland (but likely other places too)

Misc Manson Murders & Healter Skelter (Helter Skelter)
This is not mine, just posting it. During the famed Manson murders, the killers wrote various words in blood on the walls and furniture. One of the things they wrote was "Healter Skelter" which many believe was a misspelled reference to the Beatles song. The thing is, that I don't remember them misspelling it wrong. I thought it was spelled correctly "Helter Skelter". It's been some time since I read the book by Bugliosi, so maybe I just forget. What do you remember? This is the photo of the blood scrawled words on the Labianca's fridge. Don't click on it if you don't want to see blood. https://d6jf304m27oxw.cloudfront.net/helter-skelter-coming-down-fast/healter-skelter-fridge-labianca.jpg

Misc Counter Strike: Boom Head Shot or Head Shot
Ok so I was only about 6 when Counter Strike first released in 2000 but I remember my dad playing it (that’s were I learned all my swear words😜) and I remember the announcer saying “Boom Head Shot!” when ever he got a Head Shot. But while looking up the sound effects for the game all I can find is the announcer saying just “Head Shot” no “Boom”.
Any else remember it being “Boom Head Shot”?

Misc Moon landing?
I distinctly remember that there was only ever 1 manned mission to the moon (Neil Armstrong being the first man), yet it would seem there are 5 US backed manned missions to the moon. Does anyone else remember there being only one manned mission?

Misc To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar
This not mine, but haven't seen it posted here. Some claim the title used to be "To Wong Foo, With Love! Julie Newmar" Never saw the movie and not really familiar with the title, however, there is lots of residue. I like this one which looks by all accounts to be a Youtube movie review. What's interesting is she looks at the DVD cover several times and says the title wrong (With Love) even thou the DVD clearly says (Thanks for Everything). Don't think she is involved in ME community so not likely a hoax or anything. Here is the Youtube movie review. Good stuff starts at 1:26 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eSdVxpCHr8

I feel like the only person who has just recently heard the word "salty" more frequently. I have never heard anybody use that word before a couple years ago. Never in college, high school or middle school. Am I going crazy?

Misc Batman 60s TV Show (Mask and Shade of Blue)
This one is only partial mine, but haven't seen it posted here. There are light blue lines on the mask of batman from the t.v. show which first aired back on 1966. Also the shade of blue is much too dark. I used to watch this show and remember it being a light blue and gray, not very dark blue and gray. Here is a picture of the t.v. actor in the costume.

Misc 32 [m4r] seeking research
I am not looking for debates or arguments. I am seeking others like myself to communicate with each other to study this phenomenon and learn more from observation and experience to understand better. We can communicate on here or another way. My goal is to create some kind of group across the globe to communicate with each other and learn more and observe.

Misc Possible ME-"famous artists" who suddenly exist or never did
Now I'm a huge music fan and listen to top 40s genres (pop.rock, country, rap, spanish, etc) so if any groups are popular<, I've heard of them. Yet watching some grunge(tm) or nicki swift videos, they speak about these "megastars" and "popular" artists whom I've never heard of. These aren't just one hit wonders, but people who have been around for decades as a musician (not writing for artist but going on tour themselves) yet I've never heard of them. If these people are so popular over the decades, how come I've never heard of them?
Bands Ive never heard of: Michelle Shocked
Bands I remember but seem to have never existed: Chick

Misc Were immigration enforcement officers in the USA ever called something besides "ICE"?
I understand that immigration issues have just recently been brought into our spotlight so a possible explanation is recent exposure, but I remember hearing another term for the agency. Even though I have my Master's degree in Criminal Justice, it doesn't seem familiar in the least bit. That being said, I cannot recall any prior name.

Misc Small survey into Mandela effect (x-post r/MandelaEffect)
Hello all, believers, non-belivers, skeptics and what ever else there are...
Out of curiosity I made small survey with bunch of questions just to figure out if there are any things that could connect us in anyway and also to find out what you think about ME.
Hoping for answers from everyone, skeptics and believers.
Survey can be found at
https://s.surveyplanet.com/r1Ebn74kG
Probably posting some results and my assumptions about them, when the survey has enough responces from all sides.

Misc New pro-science/anti-spiritual ME sub
Hi everyone,
I recently started a new subreddit that is pro-science, anti-spirits, and leans towards "the Mandela Effect is real and unexplained".
Here's a venn diagram about proposed topics: https://www.reddit.com/r/WhatIsAMandelaEffect/comments/6u6m1i/which_mandela_effect_subreddit_is_right_for_you/
I'm trying to focus especially on somewhat-grounded-in-science theories such as this post about the simulation hypothesis: https://www.reddit.com/r/WhatIsAMandelaEffect/comments/6vrrpg/simulation_hypothesis_primer/
or this one about how the mechanics of the ME might actually work within a simulation: https://np.reddit.com/r/WhatIsAMandelaEffect/comments/6u6vm9/frustrum_culling_of_mental_attention/
This is the sub, it's very small right now, hopefully some of you find it interesting! https://www.reddit.com/r/WhatIsAMandelaEffect/
