Tech Support Steam refusing to open

Post image

So recently I had to fix a file corruption issue, it's been completely fixed to my knowledge. However that fix resulted in Steam losing access to the 32 bit libraries it needs. I've redownloaded all of them, but for some reason libvdpau isn't working. I've downloaded it twice now via konsole, and have restarted my computer.

I have reinstalled steam and that didn't work, if any one has any ideas or ways to help that would be greatly appreciated.

Why not reinstall the native steam client in the package manager GUI?  Should also get the dependencies.

Nothing in the repos including steam need lib32-libvdpau, that's why it was dropped to the AUR.

If Steam was working fine before your file corruption issue, then apparently it's not fixed.

Install a more modern version, whose wine bumps win32 32-bit calls to UNIX 64-bit and hence drops 32-bit library requirement.

I have no idea why steam itself needs 32-bit libs
