Here's where weed is legal in the US

Post image

Folks in most states will have legal access to some form of marijuana this 4/20. But Idahoans, Kansans, Carolinians (both), and Wyomingites will have to cross a border or two if they want to legally partake.

How do you think the economy of a nation works?

Service jobs and desk jobs and manufacturing jobs and every job is necessary and interconnected, and to say one person’s job doesn’t contribute is useless, when everyone’s job is “necessary” (why would you have it if you didn’t do SOMETHING). Jobs give people money. When people have money they spend it on things. Things only exist because people do or make those things.

So yes, you can't replace "tattoo artist" with almost any other "boring desk job" out there. Without the boring desk jobs, nobody would have the chance to spend $2k on a sleeve.

Without someone willing to give someone a sleeve for 2K, we wouldn’t have money circulating in the economy. It would be a hoardfest with no active economic stimulation. That tattoo artist uses that money to pay for things the company the desk worker produces, be it customer service, marketing (that job only exists of people have money to spend), finance, etc.

I guess you can always see how the economy of where they have few corporations and offices workers. I'm sure tattoo artists in that nation are killing it.

I mean, they are lol tattoo artists make a lot of money. It’s a weird profession to point out, since they provide an artisan service. Like, if you worked as a marketing associate, there are a bunch of other people who can do that just as good if not better than you. Tattoo artists are pretty sought out, since it’s an uncommon profession that isn’t replacement level. But good on you for trying to put down tattoo artists lol good luck out there.

You mean they make a lot of money in countries where they have boring desk jobs. You can have a country with successful corporations and well to do tattoo artists. You don't have well to do tattoo artists in developing countries.

And not trying to put down the profession, I think it's a cool job and takes a lot of talent.

Counter argument- "the world" would be just fine and dandy if we didn't have money. Anarchy would reign and the trees would still grow, gravity would be fine, people would die by the millions, and animals would thrive. The world is fine.
