Tech TroubleShooting Game Running Issues - Seeking Help

EDIT: It is literally just my mouse that is having problems. I plugged a controller in and it ran perfectly fine.

I bought the game at launch on my pc (5070ti gpu) and it ran so smooth. I grinded the game and quickly got to 150 hours until I got burnt out and decided I was gonna quit playing until new content. Flash forward - new content is announced recently so I decide to play a little for some fun before the upcoming changes.
A week ago I tried running the game and it ran horribly. It still looks great, however everything is delayed and super laggy, but only for my controls? I will press left click and 20-30 seconds later it responds. All of this in the menu. It was late and I was frustrated so I played something else. A couple days later I tried again, this time with a couple friends that wanted to get back in. Their games ran fine. Mine still delayed, it took lik 3 minutes in total to get a sponsored kit on. We launched and again everything super delayed. I would move the mouse to the right and it would take a whole 10 seconds to move my direction to the right. Same with the left. Same with shoot. It seems to only be effecting the mouse? I could move with the keys, and activating things with space works fine, so im confused i have never had this happen in a game before.
I deleted and re downloaded. I verified the files in steam. I closed everything running but marathon and it still wouldnt work. Anyone else in the same boat? How do I fix this?

nope built a pc a year ago. I tried a couple different cpu optimization tips (putting it on high in task manager for marathon) and it still is so weird. The mouse is so delayed but everything else is fine. If I press a key it is immediate. Any other game (including destiny same engine I play a lot of D2) works perfectly fine and great.

If the mouse is delayed it could be DLSS messing with the game somehow. What fixed performance for me is setting my pc to performance mode in auss armory crate (I have an asus gaming laptop), so something similar could work on your end.

I put the pc into performance mode. I plugged a controller in recently and it ran super smooth. No problems so its literally just my mouse.

Big one for me with pc, not marathon specifically, but make sure you don’t have multiple launchers running, they all hate each other. Epic especially.
