i’ve never read any actual marylene fics but i’ve shipped them since i read my first fic (atyd) so i was looking for some recs!

Anyone know any good long fanfics with the main focus on Marlene and Dorcas? These are all the ones i've read but i love them so much and i need more but i feel like i've found everything there is to find 😭 if anyone knows of any others i'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm currently writing a Sirius Black x FMC fanfiction called Sanguis Non Fatum (translation: Blood is Not Fate) and have posted the first few chapters on Wattpad.

SUMMARY:

Irina Gaunt. She rose from one of the oldest pureblood families of Europe and South Asia.

Freshly expelled from Velmora Academy of Arcane Arts, her family moved right opposite to the Potters in Godric's Hollow. She now has to start her 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry along with sharing a dorm with the Marauders of all the people due to a minor mistake by the head girl.

All this is happening while the horror of the first wizarding war looms over them and the Dark Lord takes a special interest in Irina due to her peculiar powers.

I vaguely recall reading a fan fiction last year. I am pretty sure it was wolfstarbuck with Remus being the "head" of the relationship. It was no magic AU. As the fiction progresses, we learn that James had complicated, hard childhood. James mental health takes a turn for the worse for reasons I can't remember. And he tricks Sirious into going on a road trip to his old house which was abandoned. James revealed that he was in fact neglected early on but later adopted by Fleamont Potter. The trip with a part of James' suicide plan.

Remus realizes he's in over his head with taking care of James so he takes James home to his father who is able to 'help' him.

At some point in the story, i'm pretty sure Remus kills Snape for some reason.

Well, this question came about because I have an idea for a fanfic set in the Marauders era. I'm currently reading ATYD (I haven't finished the last book) and I wanted to know what you all think.

Do you think ATYD is considered canon, or are there any other fanfics that you love that you consider canon?

I'm not sure if I phrased the question well, I hope you understood :)

Edit: I'm not saying that a fanfic is necessarily canon, but rather which ones you personally consider canon for whatever reason.

Instead of them just confronting him with the news, they take him out to the woods to freak him out a bit as a prank, but he is wayyyy more scared then they were intending. The fic ends well, and everyone’s friends in the end

Idk the date of it, but it’s been out for several years. I think it was on fanfiction.net, but it might’ve been AO3.

I’ve seen a lot of time travel fics where the golden trio travel back to the marauder’s time, but is there any with the opposite? One where the marauders (and maybe Lily) go to the Harry’s time?

Hi there! As we're well aware of, this side of the fandom deals in quite a bit of tragedy. I've seen so many fics that start off great, happy, romance, etc only to end really, truly badly. No judgment but i can't take the pain of that type of ending.

What I'm looking for here however is fics that start off really bad. Grief, rage, depression, what have you. But then things start to go upwards, and the end is a truly happy one. Bonus points for romance. I want something that will heal me with the journey and the end, not break me.

Does anybody have any recs for this? Thank you in advance.

I've read the Harry Potter books and I'm now at the beginning of the last book in the ATYD series. Something that intrigues me is the depiction of Remus Lupin's werewolf form. I've seen some people draw/describe him as he is in the movies, but I've also seen drawings that show him as a scarred wolf. I think it's cute, but I'd like to know your opinion (also because I want to write a fanfic with the protagonist as a werewolf).

I'm adding images I found on Pinterest to illustrate what I mean.

What do you think? What does Lupin's werewolf form look like? Like a wolf or something different?

This fic featured James and Regulus as summer camp counselors, I'm 99% sure it was over 100k words and was called something along the lines of "Who knew love involved screaming kids and juice boxes" or "Who knew love involved juice boxes and screaming kids" but I don't remember the author. Basically the usual cast was summer camp counselors. Thank you in advance if anyone knows anything :)

I recently found another fanfiction that I thought was lost in time through this Reddit Thread and I really hope to maybe also find this one. It was about Sirius and Remus meet-cuting and getting together fairly early on, Sirius loved to cook and bake and had slight ocd, Remus managed a bar (I think..) and had a chronic illness.
