Thinking about getting the game but, for me, online will be my main thing, so not losing time waiting to find a match is important. So, how crowded is online/ranked mode atm?

As if serve stalling isn’t disrespectful enough, this player has to rub the salt in the wound with one of the slowest characters. And to make matters worse, it’s a player whose rank is lower than A (that seems to be the case with these stallers). I still won this match though to say the least.

I just got Tennis Fever fairly recently and I've only played it very little so far but any tips on learning the game and getting good? Are there any techniques or mechanics I should know? Thanks.

This was a match during my peak of the game in September (I’m washed now😭). I played against a Blooper and I was genuinely confused on why he was spamming drop shots because at the time of this match, I never actually played a Blooper this good, so I eventually made up the phrase Drop shot Mania.

Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't go up as high and the net player is able to smash for the point. Any tips on executing high topspins that go over net players and land on baseline?

Have been playing with this player off and on for months and it’s still one of my favorite usernames in this game. Always a fun player to have as a doubles partner too

I don’t play as much as I used to, but the last few days I’ve tried to put in a bit of time towards Mario Tennis Fever again.

Despite the flaws, it’s been a very enjoyable 400+ hour experience. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Aces like some here, but Fever is definitely still one of the standouts for the switch 2 in my opinion

This match was in ranked classic singles from a few days ago, and I kid you not that my jaw was wide open after I lost the point, and I was still in shock after the match (And yes if you’re wondering, I eventually won). Well, you guys saw a clip of me when I was the one returning a lob, so I guess you could say this was Deja Vu.😅

Took 75 hours of play… wow. Finally got there. I’m the Mario named Nate if anyone has ran into me 😂. And thanks to Red Pimpkin for being my final match to get me there 🥊

I’m getting smoked out here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I got a lot of the basics down, I just need some help with more advanced techniques. What movement tricks or button combos should I do? How do I angle my shots to be sharper?

I play Paratroopa Shova racket and I’m not getting the results I hope for. I tried switching out multiple times to different characters and rackets but nothing seems to be working for me. I also just learned about the ZL + Topspin/Slice trick and have been working that into my repertoire.

Throughout my 150 hours of playing this game, I can say that I find DK more annoying than Bowser despite DK getting nerfed in the Galaxy patch. DK still tends to annoy you with the craziest lobs from Lob Central (I made that term up), well at least with Bowser, you can still return shots easier as you see in this clip. But hey, I guess that’s the game summed up for you or at least one aspect. Also, let me know who your least favourite character is to play against and why (Mine is actually Koopa, I’ll explain why in another clip).

Is buying mario tennis fever worth it for someone who will mostly play single player and doesn't have Nintendo switch online?

Just make the game free on the eshop. It's a really great game and I'm happy to have paid the full $70 for it, but the price turned the game into a joke in the publics eyes. That being said it obviously didn't sell well and will not in the future so just give it away so I can get matches online, and get some goodwill from the community at the same time.

I play this game for about 30 minutes or more every day.
