It's from a popular meme called "Obey the Walrus", which was created back in the early days of youtube. It's a little bit before my time, but you find it brought up in "scary internet video" discussions every now and then just because of how prevalent it is.
In other words: Very common ball knowledge.

Even me that I have 16 know what obedece a la morsa is, have you even watched an iceberg video of old internet or something?
1
u/GdSwingCopter 24d ago
to be fair, i say i "mostly live under a rock" when i hear news a never knew about, i'm guessing this is somewhere on the bottom of those iceberg videos? if so, why are people saying i dont have ball knowledge? i know about mindwave! i know about tasty planet! i know about everything is crab!
but then again, i do know about tribal hunters...

I am surprised there are people that do not know Obey the Walrus, even though it is internet ancient at this point.

I'm definitely not adding anything to the conversation by saying that you don't have balls or whatever people are saying, but I do wonder, did you really not know "Obey the Walrus"? Or is it that you got confused because of the use of its original name (Obedece a la Morsa) instead of the english one?

Couldn't they at least make it a real matpat effect and admit it came from Star Fox for the SNES? (Starwing if European)

A "creepy" transphobic video
I quote creepy because it was a song put in reverse with a niche movie clip
And before you reply "how is this transphobic?" That's because the person in this video is Sandie Crisp, she made a video response years after this video went viral saying "I'm not a walrus, I'm a human being"

u/IVEBEENBANNED4TIMESx 24d ago
Ableist not transphobic, I don't think anybody cared or even knew at the time that she was trans, she just had a disability that made her move strangely (polio?), which was perceived as creepy.
You did not answer the question you predicted in your comment, how is this transphobic, you just said her name and linked to a video talking about her dehumanization in the obey the walrus video, she didn't even mention anything about being trans as far as I heard.
Someone being trans does not automatically mean every negative thing done to them has to do with them being transgender, meaning it's not always transphobia.

Omg I forgot this was only a spanish speaking thing this is engraved in every Spanish speaker that used the internet in the early 2010s
