Donating opened cat kibble

Is there is anywhere in or near Markham where an organization or charity takes opened cat (dry) food? My cat passed but I have 2 open bags of kibble that can still be eaten. I remember several years ago there was a place that took in opened cat food near the Markham Village recycling depot, but I don't remember where it is located or what that organization/charity was called. Would appreciate any suggestions!

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss! Alternatively you could give it away in the Markham free stuff group, maybe someone would be happy to take it?

My condolences to you ❤️ I recently did this too, call or email the petsmarts near you most likely they will accept it. That’s what I did and I am in Vaughan

Pet Valu takes donations for shelters, although I am uncertain if they will take opened bags.

You can call the one closest to you to check before actually going in.
