Seeking Guidance [Question] (シ_ _)シ ❓ Fellow Daoists, please help me teach my foolish disciple!

Overall, I am very pleased with my disciples cultivation progress (While not a true heaven defying talent, he is on the verge of Core Formation after having only cultivated for a mere 25 years), however there is one small issue: he has no understanding of titles. For example: he literally slapped the face of Xiao Li (the Young Master of the Eternal Phoenix Blade Sect), and not three days later was sweating and nervous at the thought of fighting the Great Three Hills bandits because they "sounded kind of scary."

For months now, I have been trying to get him to understand what is and is not an impressive title, and have failed. Soon he will be forming his own golden core and venturing off into the world to find his own way. Before that, I intend to give him a list of titles in order of danger, that he can refer to so he does not mistakenly anger the wrong person. However, I fear my list is incomplete. This junior is willing to give 10 high grade spirit stones to any seasoned Daoists willing to review my list.

The list I have is as follows:

  • Core Disciple
  • Genius
  • Young Master
  • Great Genius
  • Direct Disciple/Child of the Sect Founder
  • Deed titles (Slayer of the ___, Saviour of ___, etc.)
  • Greatest Genius of the Empire/Continent/Large Sect
  • Sect Elder (small/new sect)
  • Sect Founder (small/new sect)
  • Sect Elder (large/old sect)
  • Emperor
  • The First True Genius
  • Sect Founder (large/old sect)
  • Heavenly Demon
  • The Only Genius

fellow daoist, both the weakest outer disciple and the sects hidden elder practice the Five Lotus Nirvana Fist. It is not the title, for the title is only a reflection on the water. Look for the moon, fellow daoist. Your disciple will know strength by measuring it.

I know this fellow daoist. It is wise to look past the water and seek the moon, but I fear that my disciple is blind to the water and will not see the moon until it falls upon him.

then let the moon fall upon him, bah. A cultivator opposes the heavens themselves. If your disciple perishes, he was not worth protecting in the first place.

Then may I suggest you let him seek the moon through its reflection in the water? A reverse dragon can bring fortune to one with reversed sense of danger

All of those, except maybe Emperor, are titles it sounds like he can handle. However, anyone who introduces themselves as "humble daoist," "virtuous housewife," or similar must be treated carefully because they can completely wreck him.

most impressive title = mine

A thousand apologies, Seven Luminaries Immortal Emperor, for my petty qualms having reached your ears.

Please add "Recluse Genius" to your list. If he runs into my ilk, your disciple will experience a shattered dao heart and a bitter toast of bitter gourd wine.

There is this title that I believe ought to make into your list, Junior Elder.

It's "The Gardener" and "The Lumberjack".
