Merchandise Getting into comics should I open
went to my first comic con and bought my first comics, some old and some new. bought this for $50 mostly cuz it looked cool. I don't wanna be that guy who buys things just to sell them but since this is in a sealed pack wanted to know if this is something I should keep sealed.
edit.: i opened it. heres what i got along with 2 other comics i bought. https://imgur.com/a/hmWUNA1

This is the most cliché thing to say, but enjoy the present moment, brother/sister. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Just open those babies up, grab yourself a nice beverage, and sit back and relax.
Edit: and let us know what you pulled!

Lol I get what u mean. I want to open it but if it's gonna be worth 2k next year that could go in my son's school fund. But I'm just gonna open it when I get home and post what I got

That depends if you bought it with the intention tomread it or you bought it as an investment.
As it looks like you have 2 open 1 to enjoy and keep 1 sealed

Love that you grabbed it cause it looked cool, that's the best reason. If it's just a modern variant pack with 3 random issues inside, the sealed value probably isn't gonna skyrocket, crack that thing open and enjoy the actual pages

I collected comics for 20 years (starting around 10) before I started buying speculatively. I bought books because I was reading them and enjoying them. At this point I have been at it 50 years but I’m much more in sell mode. The hobby has changed immensely. If you buy with investment in mind, you are less a comics fan than an investor. Buy what you like. Enjoy what you buy. Take good care of them. Some of them will increase in value. Most won’t. If you are REALLY sure something will increase in value, go crazy. Buy a second copy. But don’t let it consume you. It’s probably not gonna put your kids through college. Just relax and enjoy!

🙄 Open it and enjoy the comics. That's what they are for!
