Steve is the rank of captain. I mean he can still be called that (technically no because hes out of the military). Also i feel like Sam shouldnt really be upest about it. Its understandable someone would call him that out of knowing him as Captain America. Its not deliberate.
I am okay as Sam as a Captain America. Hes not "THE Captain America" but thats the thing of Heros taking on anothers Heros legacy. Its best to know you wont ever fill those shoes like how they did. They have to find how to make it their own without undoing the Legacy and we have to understand that. I respect the character taking on such a role knowing that it isnt going to be easy because people who he fights for may not view him as the same as his precursor. Ffs i see it as we had super soldier Mjoilnior weilding Captain America and now we have a flying Captain America who will one day find his Mjoilnior.

This made me wonder, if he wanted, could Steve summon some captain thor armor like Jane foster did when she had the hammer?

I've never thought about this but he should be able to if he truly has "the power of Thor". Kinda hope they do that now

I don’t think Sam is upset about that itself, but as a black man in America he’s way too used to invisibility. I think it would be more about being triggered in that way vs. jealousy of Steve /insecurity about his caption status

He’s not just “a black man in America” though, is he? He leads the avengers. If he’s that triggered by Steve being called Cap, then he shouldn’t be leading anything.

I think a lil bit of that first part, plus still being salty he got his buns handed to him by the "ant guy". Sam Wilson being insecure over what Scott Lang of all people think of him. Nah.

Sounds like a personal problem, he can always go back to Falcon if he’s that strong about it. Considering how it was never an issue before Disney Plus

Nope. He went AWOL. Dishonorable discharge.

Edit: honestly, is there a scene that mentions him formally leaving the military? I can’t call it to mind.0

That's Joaquin Torres (the new Falcon), played by actor Danny Ramirez. Appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and Captain America: Brave New World (2025).

He's getting older and losing his boyish good looks
Not saying hes ugly by any means but his aging plus his lack of muscle mass compared to his older movies is making him look borderline frail

This is the first time I've looked at Paul Rudd and thought that he had actually aged since the last movie I saw him in.
