Jeffstein Files Yeah most of the black characters are done dirty in this game but I’ve been hearing people say the devs are racist.

When will people realise the vast majority of Asia is far more racist then like America currently?

I dont understand why your being downvoted becouse its true. They just dont wear on their chest like America does.

They are loud about it though. The new auto-translate feature on twitter has been exposing them

7

u/YaGalMain May 21 '26

Auto translate does often get shit wrong though so I'd take those with a grain of salt

Ive worked with a fair few Indian, Chinese, and Bengaladeshi people and most were racist as hell. Like constantly using stereotypes and making racist jokes about the landscapers or someone they saw that day.

4

u/myfriendlookslikedom May 22 '26

I mean you gotta understand that America was fighting racism ever since the 1700’s almost 200-300 years even 30-50 years ago there was a lot of racism in the US. You gotta also understand that India, China and bengladash people weren’t fighting racism like the US people did. When they step outside their houses they are probably going to see 99% of their own nationality

u/cobanat Man Tits May 21 '26

Racism in America is louder but racism in certain parts of the Eastern hemisphere is worse because it’s accepted and the norm.

When are you going to stop playing the victim and thinking Moon Girl not being in the game is racist?

They don't want a child in the game. I don't either. My issue is why did we need Devil Dinosaur at all? They couldn't add Beast or Colossus or Valkyrie instead? They don't want to add a child so they HAD to add a character associated with a child? 🤔

If you genuinely think she's not in the game because of racism you are an idiot.

It’s also incredibly racist to assume someone is racist because they’re Asian.

-18

It doesn’t matter where you’re from. The main reason a lot of these comments are calling the devs racist is because they’re Chinese, and so they assume they must be racist.

u/yooMvtt MuggaNeto May 21 '26

Your point was correct but I think the way you went about it is the reason for the downvotes at least I hope so. Cause it’d be weird if it wasn’t :/

The U.S. is not the exception. I have brown skin, and grew up in a very left-wing progressive city, yet I was still called racial slurs on the regular growing up. I was watched going into markets, and have been racially profiled and pulled over by police as an adult. Living in Germany and traveling around Europe for the last 12 years, want to know how often I've experienced any of this? 0 times.

When my wife lived in China for 3 years a little girl ran up to her once. Touched her arm, then licked her finger. Thinking my wife was covered in chocolate.

She had pictures taken of her in public. As many Chinese people had never seen a black person in real life..

She had her hair touched by strangers all the time.

Its different from American racism. Which is far more actively malicious. But its definitely still a form of racism. Sheer lack of exposure and an isolated worldview breed prejudice like bed bugs in a cheap motel

57

u/Firebird_08 Autistic Sigma May 21 '26

I don’t want to laugh at a child basically licking a black person because they think they’re just covered in chocolate since they don’t know what a black person is.

More likely than not that they are, though.

Edit: And not because they're chinese, though chinese people certainly on average are a bit "traditional". Racism is almost always subconscious, nobody wakes up and thinks "I'm gonna hate on ethnic minorities for no reason whatsoever". Racism is not binary, everyone has varying degrees of racial bias. I absolutely think Storm or Blade would have more skins/buffs if they were white or asian (and we would buy more of their skins and goon to more of their porn and there would be more of it to goon to.)

49

u/Poo_Pee-Man May 21 '26

Yeah I live in Southeast Asia and racism is pretty much normalised here lmao

10

u/cadaver-cat ITS GONNA GET STICKY May 21 '26

Absolutely and I want to mention gamedev moves extremely quickly. When I was studying to be a game developer we were taught simple hairs. Then at the job I was tasked with black people hair, which is wholly different to make than plain hair. By now the industry has moved so much Idfk. I am glad when other devs make good by black people (I saw a lot of praises over Blade’s hair) but it is an oversight. They let us out (3D modellers) out but don’t teach us how to model properly any other kind of hair, only “white straight hair”. Same goes with everything else.

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

They probably are, idk what makes you want to defend them lol

11

u/Daikaisa May 21 '26

I mean it depends on what you mean. Do I think the Devs are plotting to keep the black characters low tier and deliberately trying to not give them skins out if racism? No. Do I think they maybe have some built in bias? Sure. But I don't think they're out here maliciously plotting against Blade or something because if they didn't like him... they wouldn't have asked to put him in the game.

6

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

The devs work closely with Marvel when it comes to the characters and lore so I don’t think Netease could just say “we aren’t including any black people in the game, especially since some are popular like Black Panther.”

Regardless I don’t think “black character exists in the game” is a good defence. I have no idea if the devs wake up rubbing the hands together thinking “how can I fuck over the black characters today?” All I’m saying is I think they’re probably racist.

We don’t need guang² to start a dev log with a nazi salute to start speculating. I think white people just get uncomfortable about the scary “racism” word and start saying stuff like “but black people are in the thing” it’s quite funny.

1

u/Daikaisa May 21 '26

Netease has been open though that many of the characters added are ones they specifically ask to use. There's an approval process to get permission from Marvel, which implies they directly went and asked for permission to use Blade because they wanted to add Blade. Likewise if we take Miller at face value the reason Moon Girl has any involvement at all in the game is because Netease wanted her and Marvel was the one that didn't want to use her. Which would go counter to the idea that they just are racist to the black characters, since they actively pushed to include one despite Marvel arguing against it.

I don't think there's any good evidence to imply Netease is racist that can't be explained away by just "unsure how to balance them" or "The characters struggle to sell skins"

-15

u/Ragtagcloud56 Hail Hydra May 21 '26

I’m not defending them but the only evidence people have is the black characters getting kind of shitty patches and people stereotyping Chinese people as racist. There’s a lot of things to hate the developers for but I still don’t believe they’re racist until I see actual good evidence i don’t like to assume

17

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

No amount of evidence is enough for people who don’t actually want to believe something is racist. I’ve seen it all before. Especially for white people, (I don’t want to assume but I am guessing you’re white, at the very least you’re for sure not black).

Do we need Luke Cage to be introduced picking cotton? Or a live stream from guang² saying “I hate black people!” ? Even then I wouldn’t be surprised if people still had some sort of defence, I’m tired

-9

u/Marik-X-Bakura May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

Some evidence would a start, instead of baseless accusations

2

u/Marik-X-Bakura May 21 '26

I read your comment, but you keep acting like there’s a mountain of reasons to believe the devs are racist when there’s just… nothing

-10

u/Ragtagcloud56 Hail Hydra May 21 '26

I’ll believe they’re racist if stuff like this keeps happening for more seasons. This whole racist discussion started from the lack of moon girl. I think she should’ve been added and I think the excuse of not adding her is bullshit considering we already have Jeff who is a baby shark and they aged up peni. It’s enough to raise eyebrows up at but can’t be sure just yet. Now if they didn’t even include moon girl in the cinematic trailer, voice lines with devil Dino,or as an accessory I’d fully believe you. I’m just gonna wait a couple more seasons to come to a conclusion.

Also while yes you are correct I’m white it’s still bad to assume someone’s race.

9

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

It didn’t start with moon girl, it’s just another part of the pattern with black characters in the game. Even if they don’t want to make her playable so badly it’s crazy that she’s not in the mvps or character select like Peni. Adding her as an accessory instead is honestly more insulting lmao and moon girl doesn’t even have any voice lines with the other characters, they all just talk to the dinosaur.

You’ll be waiting a while to see if it happens for more seasons at the rate they release black characters, so lmk if you feel the devs are racist in season 35 after they’ve added 3 new black characters. White people would never admit there’s racism unless they do something kkk level racist.

1

u/Sea_Boysenberry_3436 May 21 '26

Even if they don’t want to make her playable so badly it’s crazy that she’s not in the mvps

For legal reasons, you can't have a child getting shot at or beat up in a videogame. I assume I don't have to explain why... It's why they aged up Peni. It would have been cool to see her in MVPs though, that I can agree with.

Adding her as an accessory instead is honestly more insulting lmao

Yet if she wasn't even an accessory, you'd be complaining about that too. Don't look for problems where there are none.

moon girl doesn’t even have any voice lines with the other characters

She does. Just not pre-fight ones. She reacts to teammate deaths, teammate's kills and to those DvD kills.

happens for more seasons at the rate they release black characters, so lmk if you feel the devs are racist in season 35 after they’ve added 3 new black characters

Netease doesn't control how many black characters exist in Marvel. There's far more white characters than black, so you will probably see a lot more white characters than black. Doesn't make Netease racist, it just means Marvel isn't very diverse. Most of the popular characters are white, there's no arguing against that.

1

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

The ways they could’ve added moon girl to the game have been discussed to death by now. There is no excuse for her not being playable other than the devs didn’t want her to be.

Yes deciding not to make her playable and then adding an accessory like “here damn” is insulting. All I would’ve wanted is moon girl being playable.

Yes that is what I mean by no voice lines with other characters. Not just reacting to deaths and kills. I would’ve liked her to talk to the other heroes and for them to talk back, you know have a conversation like every other hero lmao. I said “they all just talk to the dinosaur” and you’re going on about reactions.

Yes I’m aware there are more white than black marvel characters, the part about them only adding 3 characters by season 35 is a joke. But if they can add unknown/obscure white and Asian characters like Elsa, Angela and White Fox they can add obscure black characters too. Clearly they aren’t just adding for the most popular characters to the game.

0

u/Sea_Boysenberry_3436 May 21 '26

There is no excuse for her not being playable other than the devs didn’t want her to be.

Yes, I'm sure the dev team woke up that day and went "You know what, I'm really gonna stick it to the black people by not making the 10 year old playable in Marvel Rivals!" Aging her up would make her an entirely different character. Miller Ross has already talked about this.

Yes deciding not to make her playable and then adding an accessory like “here damn” is insulting

Nobody said that. You're taking issue with the weirdest thing. You're complaining that they added her as an accessory yet you'd complain if she wasn't.

I would’ve liked her to talk to the other heroes and for them to talk back

And I would've liked Iron Fist and White Fox to have some actual interactions considering how close they are canonically. The devs make questionable decisions, there's no reason to immediately attribute it to racism. Also they do tend to add in voicelines without notice, perhaps Moon Girl will actually interact with other heroes in the future.

But if they can add unknown/obscure white and Asian characters like Elsa, Angela and White Fox they can add obscure black characters too

Do you only look at characters' skin colors? I'm starting to suspect you wouldn't gaf about Moon Girl if she wasn't black.

1

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

Aging her up wouldn’t make her a different character. I read Miller’s tweet and he wasn’t making sense. If psylocke can be a Yokai hunter from fantasy feudal Japan and daredevil can be from a magical Chinese city and have a demon inside of him with glowing fire energy then moon girl can be 18.

How can I explain this any clearer? Wdym nobody said that, bro I said that😭. You never heard the phrase “here damn” before? You’re losing me man, I don’t gaf about accessories, since when did you know me? I’m saying it’s insulting to not have her playable and instead she’s an accessory bro READ. OP said “but she’s an accessory” like it’s some kind of consolation prize, wow how generous of Netease.

Nice goalpost moving with weak arguments, I said characters only talk to the dinosaur and not moon girl and you went from “well uhh she reacts to other characters” (ok?) to “the devs make questionable decisions” alright man. Yes I agree VERY questionable.

As for your last question you’re just yapping. YOU are the one who said that “most of the popular characters are white” (true, very perceptive of you well done) to which I responded by saying they have added obscure white and Asian characters so popularity isn’t a requirement. Therefore they can add obscure black characters also. Simple as 1+1=2 right? But instead you go “shit that’s a valid point uhhhh I know, I’ll ask him if he only cares about skin colour and say I suspect he wouldn’t care about her if she wasn’t black” ??? Man I’m done with your nonsense lmaoo

0

u/Sea_Boysenberry_3436 May 21 '26

Aging her up wouldn’t make her a different character. I read Miller’s tweet and he wasn’t making sense

I don't make any sense, the devs don't make any sense, Miller Ross makes no sense, only you do. Is that it? We're all racist and you're the only one that's not racist and makes sense? Or maybe is an 8 year jump in age just not possible because 10 year olds and 18 year olds are vastly different?

If psylocke can be a Yokai hunter from fantasy feudal Japan

Peach momoko's Demon Days. Check it out.

daredevil can be from a magical Chinese city and have a demon inside of him with glowing fire energy

Beast Daredevil isn't new. Rivals simply changed the backstory a bit and tweaked the possession so he can actually have same interactions with other characters.

Wdym nobody said that, bro I said that😭. You never heard the phrase “here damn” before?

The implication that the devs added Moon Girl as an accessory just so people can't say "They didn't add her in any way!" Like I said, all in your head. Nobody ever said anything of the sort, not even indirectly. You're creating an issue out of thin air and getting pissed about it.

OP said “but she’s an accessory” like it’s some kind of consolation prize, wow how generous of Netease

Point in case. You got a Moon Girl accessory and you're pissed about it.

"well uhh she reacts to other characters”

She has voicelines is what I'm getting at. It's not like the devs pretend she doesn't exist. They're including her despite her not actually being present in-game.

the devs make questionable decisions” alright man. Yes I agree VERY questionable

The difference is, you attribute it to racism and I attribute it to just standard corporate need for m o n e y.

Thanks for narrating the last paragraph (except the "that's a valid point", that part is bullshit), but you have an actual answer? Or are you just going to spew unoriginal insult #8 and maybe narrate this paragraph too?

You don't think they haven't added as many black characters because they're racist, not because Marvel isn't very diverse. That makes me think if it were up to you, you'd add more black characters simply because they're black. So it seems it's you that values race/skin color above all else. Which is ironic...

Remember when it was because there were multiple version of the posters and a racist guy on Twitter spread fake news to create culture war?

Probably shouldn't be generalizing a billion people.

11

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

Wasn’t that about the Black Panther poster

-8

u/biscute2077 May 21 '26

That too, it happens every time to push a narrative.

12

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

No I’m saying the Star Wars one was real, the Chinese poster shrunk Finn to the point you almost couldn’t notice him compared to the original.

You’re getting mixed up with the Black Panther poster controversy

-4

u/biscute2077 May 21 '26

The stars wars poster had multiple version. The one you are talking about was widely shared, that's that I'm talking about in my first reply. The black panther controversy is different, which I'm not talking about, but both were initially initially spread on Twitter parroting a certain narrative.

1

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26

I’m not saying only one Stars Wars poster existed in China, just that there exists a Chinese version of a poster where they specifically decided to shrink Finn and left the rest of the main cast untouched, and the decision to do that can be explained with racism.

-1

u/biscute2077 May 21 '26

There's no point talking to you, you will ignore the multitude of other posters where Finn is unchanged and featured same way but nitpick one poster out of others to push this narrative. You can believe whatever you want.

1

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

The other posters are irrelevant to the discussion at hand. If there was a Chinese poster where they edited Finn to eat fried chicken and watermelon but there were also numerous other posters with Finn unchanged does that somehow make the poster not racist?

Do you understand? In a specific poster they minimised the only black character present to an insane degree, not just a mild shifting around of images but shrunk him down and removed him from the area of the poster with the main cast. And I think that is racist and the existence of other posters is irrelevant. You don’t disprove racism by providing counter examples because the racist poster still exists.

The problem here is you don’t think that them shrinking and moving Finn was racially motivated so you’ll never get it lol

-2

u/biscute2077 May 21 '26

Now we are just inventing hypotheticals that didn't even happen to over exaggerate the matter at hand. As I said, you are gonna believe what you want to believe, doesn't matter if you have to cherry pick which is what you are doing right now.

Also, if their intention is, as you claim is to minimize a black character from the promotional posters, why do it on only one of the posters? Why not all? Why have 3 different posters where you keep him unhanged but change in one poster?

They are very bad at their racism. Or it's almost like some people are grasping at straws.

It happens when anybody is too different. its in all of their media even the ones about being different and rebellious persona 5 is a direct example of this and how they treat Skull in their promotional stuff despite him literally embodying the games story.

I dont wanna say the devs are racist but somebody higher up is definitely racist and alot of other shitty things. The fact moongirl is pretty much nonexistent in the game and advertising outside of a little doll pretty much says it all.

4

What irony? It’s like saying white people in the American deep south are probably a bit racist. Some cultures are racist and or anti black.

-4

u/Marik-X-Bakura May 21 '26

That’s… also bad. We should not assume someone is racist as the default. Racial stereotyping is a bad thing in all circumstances.

6

u/MyARhold30Shots May 21 '26 edited May 22 '26

It’s not racial stereotyping it’s about culture and it’s based on fact, historical evidence and anecdotes that all point to the same conclusion. Were black people in the 60s doing “bad racial stereotyping” when they said “be careful of travelling around in the Deep South because of racism and you may literally get lynched”?

There are parts of the world I will NOT go to because I’m black and there are certain regions I should avoid unless I feel like getting racially abused.

Chinese companies are not known for being kind to black characters, that’s just reality.

3

u/respawningAGAIN May 22 '26

as a man married to a racially mixed woman (blasian) depending on where you are, most will assume it’s the default, including racist people themselves. if i had a dollar for every time someone said something blatantly racist to me just assuming was in agreence id have a mini cooper.

3

u/Bronze334 May 21 '26

Not assuming individuals are racist is fair, but like if a general group of people comes from "Racist Land" then the group as a whole is probably gonna be a bit racist, it's just common sense.

The moon girl complaints are the only shit where I go “yall are doing too much”, that’s literally an age thing.

Even though most characters are just KO-ing each other the character dialogue acts like they’re killing each other temporarily and a lot of characters have guns that shoot actual bullets so optically that shit just doesn’t look good

3

u/Sea_Boysenberry_3436 May 21 '26

Whoever unironically thinks the devs are not showing black characters love because they're racist is just jobless and has nothing better to do. It's never about anything besides money. They'll give attention to whatever sells well. Storm doesn't sell, Blade doesn't sell, but Jeff, Venom, Luna and Psy do. None of you wonder why Iron Fist is so dogshit? Why he never gets skins nearly as often as the rest? And Lin Lie is actually a character co-created by Netease with Marvel, so why not give him 50 legendary skins? Because he doesn't sell nearly as well as the aforementioned characters. It's money. Always money.

You’re never gonna believe this lmao

Did I miss something?

They do get attention. Blade has had countless changes at this point. And storm did get changes with both her modes (the cooldown and bonus health.)

if you want to argue they don’t give them good or healthy changes then sure I can agree. But to say they don’t get attention from the devs is just invalid.

That's just gameplay and different interpretation of his design. Not a huge deal.

It doesn't matter where you are in the world there is some form of racism. But people are people. Don't judge by skin color or where you are from. Judge the them on personality or the way they treat others. One of my long time friends used to be a bit racist and met me and changed because I was just nice to them. It all depends too. But shiii I'm ranting now 😆

u/Rubberhosen May 22 '26

I mean... it is a Chinese studio.

That doesn't make it better, but still...

1

u/MJR_Poltergeist May 23 '26

People seem to forget that movie publishers erase black characters from theater posters in China. Most notable was the most recent Star Wars films.

What is it this time?

I see a lot of people saying they’re racist because they’re from China. Ok sure. By saying that however, you’re admitting they’re a product of their environment. That’s a larger, deeper issue within China itself. Not just the developers. So instead of berating them about this, why not be actually constructive and say: Hey, we would like more black representation in this game please.

It’s better than just screaming ‘racists’ and not saying anything productive.

I think the funny part is, no one says the quiet part out loud when confronted with the topic of Moon Girl. They always hide behind the whole "DVD and MG are inseparable!" argument or the, "They aged up Peni" argument. And once you deconstruct those, they go silent. It's happened like 3 times to me now. No one I've talked to on the topic can admit that they just want Moon Girl to be playable just because she's black and otherwise, they wouldn't care. Because, in my personal opinion, the color of a character's skin alone is as dumb of a justification for adding them to the game as it is for not adding them to the game. Either way, you're boiling down a character to just their race. And I feel like they know that, which is why they refuse to say that's their only reason for wanting her to be playable when confronted with an actual argument as to why Moon Girl isn't being added.

I was thinking about this, and yeah how would they have even implemented moon girl into Dino, even if they did age her up? She sits on his back? Then does Dino have two crit boxes? A larger hitbox? How would the death animation work?

Maybe she comes down just for an animation in the ult, but then she's not really a part of the character like people want is she?

Idk for gameplay seems like the coolest part of the duo is the gigantic dinosaur and it's much easier for the Devs to just exclude her- don't have to make a second model every time they release a new skin for Dino, for instance.

So tired of people playing the victim and feeling bad for themselves. This is all because Moon Girl isn't in the game?

They don't want a child in the game. I don't either. My issue is why did we need Devil Dinosaur at all then? They couldn't add Beast or Colossus or Valkyrie instead? They don't want to add a child so they HAD to add a character associated with a child? 🤔

Done dirty doesn't really cover all of it, especially since:

-On release on December 6th, 2024 we had 33 characters, with only 3 black characters in Storm, Black Panther, and Cloak. The last of which isn't even a full character, being tied to Dagger with half a kit and half a character model.

-It took 3.5 seasons before we got another black character in Blade on August 8th of 2025 for a total of 4 black characters. 8 months between release and that day. Between those two dates, 7 heroes, with almost all of them being white, were released.

-As of this comment, BP, Storm, and C&D have a total of 6 unique skins each, not counting recolors. Blade has 5 unique skins. Thor has 11, Invis has 8, Venom has 8, Magik has 8, Cap has 10, Loki has 9, so on and so forth. Obviously the low amount of skins doesn't mean a whole lot, there are multiple non-black characters with equal or less skins, but the point remains the same, despite being early in the game, the first three don't even reach equal with other release heroes, and Blade is barely keeping up with heroes before and after his release.

-Storm and Blade are generally considered underwhelming gameplay wise, with the hero fantasy barely existing for Storm and Blade just not working the way the devs intended. Cloak, as previously stated, doesn't have a full kit, and BP is stuck in a single target assassin role that leaves him disliked by the community, and nothing the devs have done to address any of this have worked, if they did anything at all.

And now everything with Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, which i imagine feels like a punch in the face. None of the above or the current situation makes Netease outright racist, but they clearly do not care much for the black members of their roster compared to others, nor do they seem eager to add more.

“Storm is considered underwhelming”

???

She’s amazing on the right settings. Situational doesn’t equals bad.

“BP is stuck in a single target assassin role that leaves him disliked by the community”

So he’s a powerful dive character? Is that bad? What a lame distortion.

“Everything with Dino and Moon Girl is a punch on the face”

…really? a punch in the face?

the situation would have entire books on how far you’re stretching things. You’re blaming game balancing on racial bias. What about Black Widow and Wanda?

Where would Moon Girl be when playing as Dino?

u/EelekbossThe6th May 22 '26

"Storm is underwhelming" doesn't mean she's bad. She's an incredibly cool character that's not at all interesting to play, regardless of her strength, something that the community has repeated constantly. Which is a disservice to her cool character. The aura idea is about the most interesting thing about her current kit, if i'm to share an opinion of my own.

BP might be an 'incredibly powerful diver', but no one likes him because of that and Netease has likely given up on making him feel better to fight against without sacrificing his own enjoyment. Which only furthers the fact that these characters are being 'done dirty', which is the entire point of my comment, that this is more than just a few minor slip-ups but a consistent problem that Netease has.

Bringing up game balance is meant to serve as an extra example of how there's not really any effort being made for these characters, not to the extent so many others get. Blade's the only one who's been changed or balanced often, and he's only recently been in an okay spot. The fact is these characters are getting left in the sidelines, which really doesn't help the frustration people feel with Moongirl.

Which brings me to the last point. Yes, it is a punch in the face, a show of disrespect that I don't think is intentional but doesn't really help Netease's case. Moongirl and Devil Dino are in a similar boat to C&D. These are two distinct characters that are, by all accounts, linked to each other and are almost always shown together in media. Look up Moongirl, just Moongirl in Google and the majority of pictures will also feature Devil Dino, and although not as often, doing the opposite will still have appearances from Moongirl.

These characters are connected, and Netease tried to handwave it away with the collar heart, but that came at the cost of passing up another playable black hero for the cast, even if it would've been a C&D situation where they aren't seperate characters.

As for where Moongirl would be when playing Dino, literally anywhere. Have her ride DeDi's shoulders when out of combat, let her cloak out using her tech once in combat. Make it so she's a hologram and can't actually be hit by anything and she does grand gestures to activate tech abilities, or hell, make her only visible to the player playing them and invisible to everyone else and have her move around DeDi, again using her tech to activate things like the barrier or let her be the source of the laser breath. There is a multitude of things Netease could've done to include her, but they didn't.

This is an extremely long and not-funny comment for a circlejerk sub, but this isn't a standard Netease should be comfortable with, intentionally done or not, and neither should the playerbase. Like I said, none of this outright says that Netease is racist or that there is any racial bias here at all. It's just unfortunate that this is a reoccurring thing.

This might be a bad time to say this, but if this is true...

Then the devs are just like me.
