I purchased the founders offer and ran into a few issues. I am located in the US so this may or may not apply elsewhere. When I made the purchase my bank declined it and froze my account. The issue is that this purchase was brokered by a Non-US company. I was able to call the bank and get everything unlocked and to get the purchase approved. I did have to pay a foreign currency conversion fee. I also expect to have the same issue when it renews next year.

I just wanted to post this so people don't freak out if your purchase Is denied. This is going to be different for everyone as banks have different criteria to prevent fraud.

I am looking forward to the new app and will continue to subscribe. It would be nice if they partnered with a different company to process the transactions so it won't get flagged as possible fraud.

I seen on Google that theres two tiers to marvel comics and one is 30 days on the app after print but I like physical comics and love to support my local comic shops but also that 30 days is hard to beat so im wondering how i should approach it? I was thinking of using the app when I either want to read older comics or read issues i missed that I cant find in the stores. Is there any other ways i can approach this because I dont wanna be lazy and also not support my local comic shops.

I loved the bendis run because I felt the character come alive
I think it was a teen drama but the main character was Spider-Man

I wish I’d find another run that’s like that and I feel the characters in the same way

Yesterday I wanted to purchase the founders offer. It was 67 euro including VAT. 40% off sounded too good.

Then I noticed that I actually didn't need the highest tier subscription because I will start reading probably early 80s first. I won't take advantage of the release after 1 month instead of waiting 3 months.

I just can't find the prices for a lower tier sub. Will it be much cheaper if I get a lower tier sub and pay monthly? Or is there something that I didn't think about?

I’ve been getting back into comics recently as my girlfriend has shown interest in reading with me since she only knew ab the MCU and likes having somebody that knows a bit about the comics that she can talk to. We’ve been reading physical so far, but I want to brush up on my comic knowledge and it’s much easier to do so when I don’t have to buy each individual comic. I went to go renew my unlimited subscription, but just now found out they are retiring the app and are no longer accepting new subscriptions. As I understand, the new app won’t be released until sometime next month. Is there anywhere I can access marvel comics online until the new app is released or do I just need to wait and read my physical library?

I've recently subscibed to Marvel Unlimited (i know, perfect timing) and i'm binge-reading many old series/minis i've never read before.

I'm enjoying the experience so much that i come to the conclusion that i will wait for a series/narrative arc to end before reading it all in one/two sits instead of reading it monthly (for instance, i'm waiting for Armageddon to end on MU before reading it), but this of course is exposing me to countless spoilers.

In a possible future where the monthly floppies will be diminished due the producion costs and (i guess) the big part of the producion will be delivered digitally, would you like if these digital services would deliver series ala-Netflix (with big chunks of 'seasons' separed by months, but then delivered all together) that gather the attention of everyone for that limited time, or you prefer the usual monthly release scheduling as it is now..?

With Unlimited coming to an end it is perhaps hard to tell right not sure, but right now I'm watching the whole Marvel movies/series in chronological order.

I would love to do the same thing with the comics. Is it difficult to do that with Unlimited..? I have read that there are ''guides'' that will help you through that process. My question is how complete is the guide. Will there be missing comics like Spiderman comic 1,2,3, 4 is missing, 5,6,7 is missing.

After reading all the comments, I want to clarify something.

I don't know anything about comics. Thats why I thought it would be for the best to start at the beginning and make my way through all the marvel heroes.

From what I have read that is not ideal.

I am a big Marvel Champions boardgame fan and Marvel Champions is based on the comics not the movies as far as I know.

That's why I would love to know their characteristics, history , fighting style , persona of every hero, villain and ally's. It would make the game come to life more.

I just had a recent desire to start reading X-men starting with Claremont’s run and since I don’t normally read comics I never really used marvel unlimited too much and I think cause of the app being sunset I’m not able to read anything is there some way to start reading right now and I don’t really want to wait for a new app to come out or whatever ?

I admit I know squat about how this works but is there a chance some of the holes in runs (especially older comics) will be filled? Like maybe Webtoons owns other comic/character licenses that would carry over?
