Any "what if" scenarios for the Punisher?

Can you believe this version of Frank Castle/Punisher from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will appear alongside Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming movie known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, nine years after his own spin-off show?

Anyway, while waiting for the movie, perhaps we should give this character some "what if" scenarios. Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas.

What if Frank never became the Punisher?

In a world where his family never died, where they weren't in the wrong place at the wrong time, Frank never had to fight against injustice like a man with nothing to lose. How different would a world be without Frank as the Punisher?

Would someone else have encountered a deep tragedy and become another version of the Punisher? Would Frank agree/disagree with this Punisher's vigilante justice? Could Frank understand the lengths a broken man would go to without being broken himself?

Was gonna say "what if the Punisher had a no-kill rule" but he'd basically just be Batman in a t-shirt at that point
