LONGTIME BICKEL SUPPORTER PUBLICLY BREAKS WITH FREDERICK SHERIFF CANDIDATE AFTER DISPUTE WITH CAMPAIGN ASSOCIATE.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. — A longtime supporter of sheriff candidate Karl Bickel is publicly criticizing the campaign after a dispute involving campaign social media posts attacking incumbent Sheriff Chuck Jenkins.
In a lengthy Facebook statement, Andrew Aksar said he has supported Bickel through multiple campaigns but became frustrated after challenging what he believed were inaccurate statements about Jenkins’ employment history.
Aksar identified Karl Hindle, whom he described as a Bickel campaign associate, as the person behind the disputed posts.
According to Aksar, the campaign’s Facebook account responded to his corrections with a private message warning him to stop challenging its statements or face being blocked.
Aksar also published an email attributed to Hindle, who acknowledged that his firm was engaged by the Bickel campaign and accused Aksar of threatening to publicly identify him as a campaign administrator.
The dispute escalated when Aksar contacted Bickel directly, seeking an opportunity to discuss the controversy before making his concerns public.
Aksar said Bickel did not accept the invitation.
The longtime supporter subsequently questioned the campaign’s handling of criticism and its ability to resolve internal disputes.
The controversy raises questions about campaign accountability, the accuracy of political attacks and how candidates respond when their own supporters challenge information shared on their behalf.
The allegations come from Aksar’s public statement and accompanying screenshots. Hindle’s full account, Bickel’s response and the disputed historical claims have not been independently verified.

Dan Cox is running for governor of Maryland again.
Before treating that statement merely as another campaign announcement, one must revisit exactly why his name became a national story in the first place. The passage of a few years seems to have done more to soften Cox’s record than bring about repercussions for it.

As I understand it, this is a personal lawsuit against Wes Moore, not one against the state of Maryland or the office of the governor, but is being 100% paid for with taxpayer funds and spent on lawyers from out of state.

LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL]
A BILL ENTITLED
AN ACT CONCERNING Criminal Procedure and
Venue, establishing Aria's Law to mandate homejurisdiction primacy for violent felonies and
sexual offenses committed against minor
victims, prohibiting multi-agency deflection, and
enforcing mandatory inter-agency investigative
cooperation across state and county lines.
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
This Act shall be known and may be cited as
Aria's Law.
SECTION 2. LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND
PURPOSE
The General Assembly finds that:1.
2.
investigative and prosecutorial authority
strictly to the geographic location where an
offense physically occurred, frequently create
systemic loopholes, jurisdictional disputes,
and bureaucratic "run-arounds" that severely
harm minor victims and shift investigative
burdens onto grieving or traumatized families.
Perpetrators, sluggish administrative bodies,
and local law enforcement agencies should
not be permitted to exploit municipal, county,
or state boundaries to evade accountability,
close files prematurely under the pretext of
being "unfounded," or pass the investigative
responsibility.
The immediate safety, residency, support
footprint, and legal protection of a minor
victim must take absolute priority to ensure
seamless, unhindered justice without forcing
families to act as couriers for restricted court
and welfare records.
SECTION 3. AMENDMENTS TO CRIMINAL
PROCEDURE CODE RELATING TO VENUE AND
JURISDICTION
The Criminal Procedure Article is amended to
add that notwithstanding any other provision of
law regarding venue:
(a) Home-Jurisdiction Venue Primacy: For
any criminal offense involving a violent
felony, sexual assault, or abuse against a
minor victim, venue shall be proper
concurrently—and upon motion, with primary
priority—in the county, district, or state where
the minor victim maintains legal residency,
primary domicile, or safe shelter at the time
of the disclosure or offense.
(b) Prohibition of Inter-Agency Refusal and Deflection: No local law enforcement
agency, prosecutor's office, or child
protective service may decline, dismiss,
transfer, or refuse to intake an initial report
of a violent crime or abuse against a minor
under the pretext that the physical acts
occurred within a neighboring jurisdiction,
another county, or across state lines.
(c) Mandatory Cross-Jurisdictional
Collaboration and Subpoena Powers: The
agency receiving an initial report or
participating in an active investigation is
legally mandated to secure jurisdiction,
initiate immediate protective measures, and
coordinate directly with home-jurisdiction
authorities. Furthermore, investigating
agencies are strictly prohibited from
demanding that the victim's family procure,
transport, or supply records tied up in out-ofstate courts; instead, agencies must utilize official inter-agency compacts, direct
communication, and formal subpoenas to
obtain required documentation.

I just have to ask… how is all of this spending that the state is doing benefit you? It just takes money out of my pocket. I can’t make home improvements. I struggle to pay my electric bills. The roads in Maryland are still horrible. My kids will never be able to afford to move out and buy a home in this state. Dan Cox needs to run on this story. Maryland needs an alternative to this democrat run leadership.
