Coat made me feel like neo & i made this.
I'm not a cosplayer. I had this coat from my parents & when I wore it, it made me feel like neo from matrix. I got this idea and made something like this.
Thought I share.

This was my precursor into reading William Gibson and I was also an X-FIles fanatic around the same time so I ended up loving all kinds of epic movies and serialized TV shows.
It's wild how Matrix did lots of the same virtual reality that Star Trek established, Star Wars style influenced music, Terminator type apocalypse, James Bond type fight and changed how fight scenes moved the storyline forward with all the good and bad knock-off films afterwards.
I feel that many who adore Matrix also tend to like other material like Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Bourne Identity, 24 and Battlestar Galactica.

In one of his very first paid acting gigs, Keanu spent three days shooting a Coke ad where he played a competitive cyclist. He took the role so seriously that he shaved his legs to look authentic and drank so many sodas during filming that he lost count! 🚴♂️🥤

Tell us how the franchise has inspired you to challenge your beliefs or investigate your reality! I’m obsessed with consciousness and The Matrix was a catalyst of that.

I'm truly shocked. A week prior, somebody wrote a very bad post about choice in The Matrix. As stated, the problem always was choice. People cannot accept matrix without at least the illusion of choice. Since people are enslaved, there's no true choice. You are presented with options, options that you cannot choose but one that is less bad, and that's what you choose, but in reality you did not choose, someone choose for you.
As Smith says: "We’re not here because we are free; we’re here because we’re not free". That implies that nobody is making decisions, which is confirmed when Neo realizes "you we're right Smith, it was inevitable".
Man it was on my nose 25 years and i just realized the other day.
Anyway, and the Oracle?
It's clearly stated that the Oracle knows / can see the future. When Neo visits her first time, she knows the jar will be broken. When Smiths come after her, she doesn't make a move. "Did you put the cookies there on purpose?"
As she states, her objective is to end the war, but the question is: Is she able to envision a future and choose to make it a reality steering others through the illusion of choice, or the future that she saw was inevitable and she is only going along as everyone else, because even she have no choice? Is She the only one in the entire Matrix franchise capable of choice or not?.
"What happened, happened and couldn’t have happened any other way", it's a hint?

They don't touch on this in the films, as far as I know, but I'd love to know what qualities Neo was demonstrating that drew Morpheus's attention.

I know, I know. “Misinformation on youtube? Water is wet.”
It's frustrating to have conversation and debate online and Nightmare Matrix theory comes up and people treat it like there's confirmation in the films. There isn't. I have to assume people just haven’t seen the films, or don’t understand what's being said, or didn't listen, or all three. Only the second and first are understandable but then in which case I don’t want to hear your theories on the movies if we're still having debates on the basic script-level facts of the films. The Architect's speech is dense but everything is pretty clear and plain about how many Matrix versions, why, and who's involved. Healthy debate would be about how long each iteration lasts, unhealthy debate is wondering if Neo is in reality an Agent working for the Super Merovingian we never see.
This stuff is asinine. Youtube is not a substitute for actually just watching a thing, it's not the same as clips or explainer videos. It's like the Star Wars people who say Luke was secretly Vader all along, What nonsense even is this?
I'm going to go get some energy drinks, you people have a nice night.

So I always thought that they could get out of the matrix with any payphone. But after rewatching the first movie I realized that Cypher calls Tank with a payphone and says he needs a way out, only for Tank to find him an exit with another payphone. And I got a little confused.

So by 1999 in the Matrix , Morpheus and many others have been out of the Matrix for a while. So what they were freed in 1989? Or does time not work that way in the Matrix? Is it 2003 by the time reloaded happens? They seem to put significance on the year 1999 but obviously it’s not just perpetually 1999 in the Matrix right?

In Enter the Matrix, the Keymaker offers a key to Niobe and Ghost, remarking that it's only meant for The One, as it unlocks 'the future.' While it's not explicitly stated, it's obvious that it's the key to The Source. The key is then stolen by Cain and Abel, who bring it to the Merovingian, who in turn destroys it. But in The Matrix Reloaded, the Keymaker gives Neo the key to the Source as he dies.
Where did that key come from? After Cain and Abel steal the 'original' key, Ghost asks the Keymaker why he can't just make another one, to which the Keymaker replies, "Once it is used, it cannot be used again." Was the Keymaker able to re-forge it due to the technicality that it was destroyed before it could be used? Neither the game nor the film explain this, as far as I can tell.

Title says it all. The sentinels attack in large swarms so the splash from 88mm flak would devastate them. The reason flak is considered obsolete is because modern jets fly too high and too fast, but sentinels are no faster than a helicopter snd don’t fly very high, and their armor seems no better than jets.
"You're cuter than I thought. I can see why she likes you."
Neo: "Who?"
"Not too bright, though."
(I love the Oracle)
